banned from hxhd

So today I woke up at my usual time of like 3pm, and a few hours later I recieved a snapchat from our lovely dbgtz with a picture of me speaking to him in chat.
Now I was wondering why he had that because I haven't logged in, in days. So a few hours later he finally responds and tells me I have been online today which confused more me because I wasn't even online.
I log in my account, it says I've been logged in a untrusted location, and when I came to go to hxhd to ask if anyone knew who had hacked me cos they had been talking to my friendlist and hadnt taken any furni, I noticed I was banned and was then told I had trashed when I hadn't?!

Pretty sure there's a thing in the Habbox Staff forum as well as in the HxHD handbook stating if your account is compromised then there are consequences :) Probably best to PM the HxHD managers though.

1. I'm not Habbox Staff anymore so I can't read that.
2. I don't know why I'd get consequences for it if I didn't even know I was hacked until hours after.
3. I've been told about stuff management has said about this matter so I don't really wanna message some.

Yes there is a rule in the about what happens when you account is hacked. 'You will be dismissed if your Habbo account is hacked and used against Habbox i.e trashing rooms'

Yep. However she had already been dismissed and it was partly our own fault for forgetting to remove her rights. So I think Sophie has agreed with her that she can be unbanned seeing as her rights are removed now so there's nothing she can do anymore.

It's not like I planned getting hacked, and what I find the weirdest is that they didn't take anything, they literally hacked me and just trashed the HxHD. Someone from Habbox has to be behind this because only people in Habbox know I go to HxHD.

Cases like these seem to be happening all to often imo. I remember when I resigned as staff my rights weren't removed until a month or so after. Surely there should be a process in place where managers post resignations and Matt then knows to remove rights?

If you've got the security question setup then they can't trade unless they know the answer to the questions, that's why no furni was removed. Makes me think that it was someone from Habbox as it's strange that a hacker would go straight to HxHD and trash the room.

The real mystery that you should be concerned about is how the hell did they hack your account in the first place. If I were you i'd try to improve security on your accounts, whether that be multiple emails, different passwords, not givinng people answers to possible security questions (e.g. name of first pet, mother's maiden name), etc. There's no way in finding out who hacked you and why, the only thing you can do is prevent it from happening again.

If I were you i'd try to improve security on your accounts, whether that be multiple emails, different passwords, not givinng people answers to possible security questions (e.g. name of first pet, mother's maiden name), etc. There's no way in finding out who hacked you and why, the only thing you can do is prevent it from happening again.

I've changed my password to something completely different now, and my security questions are something I can hardly remember myself, that's really the best I can do for my account.

I'm pretty sure that's the reason it's in place. Although it's definitely not your own fault if you get hacked, your account is still your own responsibility. It's very difficult for hackers to get into your account if you have a strong password (and a strong password on the email that your account is linked with), don't click/go to any links on Habbo in case they're scam sites and don't give out your password.

Well they couldn't trade any furni because they couldn't get through the security questions which is lucky for me, but they spoke to a few people in messages which is how I learnt that I had been hacked. :L
