With Charz777; Was great :) Got driven around the North part of the track (in a minibus :P), got to venture inside the workshop, got to visit both pit lanes, and was able to walk inside the big Silverstone wing (which is the 3rd longest building in Europe :P) and had a look at the conference rooms, actual pit garages, the empty paddock, race control, podium room, actual podium etc :)
They also have recently required a marriage license ;)
Here's some pictures :)

Some of the single seater cars you can drive around on an experience day. Much much wider than normal F1 cars (and cheaper/slower of course :P) so the general public can fit in them.

The podium. Looks a lot less impressive without the F1 decorations. Also, very windy up there.

Inside the main garages. During the grand prix weekend, the teams will put up their individual walls and ceilings. This is one third of the complete pit lane. So there's another 2 rooms this size added on to the back of this one.

Race control has the feeds from every track camera, and will also have the live feed and time keeping on the screens at the top. They can also get into contact with every marshal, team etc. from this room. The timekeeping room was just next door, and directly overlooks the finish line, this is in case the automatic timekeeping system fails, then they can manually record the cars coming over the line.
