Just go onto http://www.zoopla.co.uk/home-values/ and enter your city (postcode if you want more specific results).
The average value in my city (Bristol) is £238,513, and the city I study in it is £361,101 (Bath).
This is the value you want

the estimate for where I live is massively out of date as one of the three houses (there's only 3 in my 'area') was last sold in 2003 (and since then has had a huge amount of money spent on it).
The site says £390,000 but its probably more £450,000 in reality

On my street: £74,804
A bit off, there's a good and bad side to my street so to speak - I live on the worse side with about 20 houses left and the last one I know sold was the one next to me for £30,000 (could be less). However, my dad only paid £2,500 for this, so it's gone up woo.
Average in my town: £186,122 which isn't too bad I guess, I'd value it more at £150,000 though :P.
Edit: Oh I changed it to terraced houses and the average is £65,857 which makes more sense lmao.
307,275, but half the houses aren't even valued on there, my house isn't :(
