Yeah, in general do you find the prospect of the future and leaving the past behind (as we must) something that makes you sad or something that excites you. I guess it's sort of a 'do you look at a pint and see it half full or half empty'......

I have to say that i'm very nostalgic in almost everything in that I find the passing of time almost always completely sad and pretty depressing. I just think back to school, the memories, people who have passed away and think that none of that will ever come back or be there again. It's gone forever - and I think it's just a process that gets worse as you age. I'm at my happiest when i'm reminiscing about the past. The eternal pessimist you could say, or the hopeless romantic. :P

On the other hand other people don't really pay much attention to all that and have the ability to look towards the future with the view that the best is to come. The complete opposite of what i've wrote above.

How about you?

Inseriousity.

Neither lol. It just happens. I tend to live in the here and now so I don't think too far forward and I don't often get nostalgic about the past.

I do like looking back on happy memories but I leave all the **** stuff in the past. As for the future I just tend to focus on what's happening right now rather than planning too ahead.

I'm quite excited for the future to be honest, slowly edging closer to living my life the way I want to :)

I see it as both, but mainly saddening.

When I have something to look forward to in the future I rarely think of the past but sometimes the past slips through but I usually remember the happy things and things that made me laugh when with my friends

Beautiful sadness.

Sad you have to say goodbye to some things but it allows for other things to come to fruition.

Of all my times, it's the near past I'll miss if anything. Last year especially was a great one. But I feel I have so much to look forward to. I'm very excited about the future :)
