This may sound wierd but my BluRay player wont let me play BluRay discs. It will play normal DVD's fine and its quite annoying because I bought 2 blurays which I was going to watch tonight and when I tried it, it wouldn't work. Luckily, we had one of the two on normal DVD. Any help will be great, thanks.

What happened?
Have you updated it to the latest firmware? BluRays are a lot more advanced and thus complicated than DVDs, technically.

I really have no idea of how to do that. I tried to last night by burning the .zip file onto a disc of the latest software, and I tried to play it but it wouldn't read it... Recursion;

You didn't buy them from a different region did you? I.e. region A and you're in region B or whatever it is.

I've got quite a few bluerays all bought in my country and non of them seem to work. Only normal DVDs work.

Has it been able to play Blu-Rays in the past? If so then it might just be old or as people have said the lasers are broke, try taking it to a repair shop or call Samsung - if you still have the box the number will be in one of the booklets. :)

Are you sure its actually a BluRay player...?
Did the get the blu ray player from your country? If it's never played blu rays it may not be one lol

A blu-ray player produced for your country would handle dvd region coding the same as a dvd player produced for that same country.
For example, a blu-ray player manufactured for the US would would have Region A coding for blu-ray and Region 1 coding for DVD.
However, a blu-ray player manufactured for Japan would have Region A coding for blu-ray (same as US) but Region 2 coding for DVD (different from US).
Which would explain why your player plays DVD's and not Blue Rays :)

It is a bluray player, and it has played BluRays in the past, but not this past few years?...
