Pilot Rob Weber escaped with a cut to his head after a bird smashed through the windshield of the Piper Saratoga he was flying.
After the incident, which was caught on the plane's camera, he was able to make a calm landing at Fort Myers' Page Field in Florida.

I like how some of you care about the bird. It's just a bird :P It probably survived!
His cut doesn't seem too bad going from the hand he shows near the end with the drop of blood on it. Could be bad if near the eye though. I like how the air control lady was amazed at how calm he was. Pretty good flying.
Does anyone know if anything could have happened if he wasn't so calm, or would it just be like letting go of the controls under normal conditions? It seemed reasonably steady considering it was missing a window.
r.i.p bird
reckless pilot he should lose his license to fly planes!

Birds always do things like this....... we have them flying straight into our windows every year. They're either usually dead or stunned for a few minutes.
