Recently I managed to get a job at McDonalds.

I'd like to know peoples opinion on the place and what they think about working at McDonalds (:

Even though its completely unhealthy and really bad for you, it is the place I go to after a REALLY stressful day at work. I love their filet o fish burgers.

Well done on your job btw! x

I went in a few days back at 9.30pm, and all the staff were acting like complete idiots - but at least they were having fun. I guess the fun depends on how big your restaurant is and what shifts you work.

I also won a big mac, so it was a good day.

The staff at the one I work at are fab and seem really fun :D So I guess it should be okay(:

ps. I don't like big macs ):

McDonalds makes me feel sick afterwards, but I guess that happens every time I eat any fast food lol

Welldone on your job though. Quite a few of my friends work in different McDonalds' and I've heard mixed reviews.

I always get a hamburger and twisty fries which are my fave !! Love a smarties mcflurry and a strawberry milkshake mhmmm!! I used to really like their mcchicken sandwiches but I've gone off them since the last few times I went the lettuce looks rank and turns me off eating. Overall ya if I'm having a lazy day I love to get one or if I'm hungover best cure ever

Are they just normal French fries lol

I don't know why but it really annoys me when people are up themselves about how much they hate McDonald's and wouldn't set foot in one blah blah.

No one is too good for a McDonald's. I wonder if the Queen gets her Big Mac delivered to the palace...

Anyhoo, I love a McDonald's. So tasty! There are so many things I haven't tried because I'm too in love with my favourites.

As for having a job there, a job is a job. I wouldn't consider it as a permanent thing (unless you're a manager on 40k a year or something...), but if it ties you over through school/college/uni or between jobs/major career moves then I'd be cool with that.

I love McDonalds but I could never imagine working there.

Also I hate the McDonalds near me because the car crew eat in their cars and throw the rubbish out of the window. Personally if I was the manager I'd work on issuing them a fine but no - not sure why they just ignore it. Probably scared of 17 year olds :|

And I bet you stink of grease etc after the days ended ew

Enjoy though :3

I'm a bit late, but better late than never I guess :P.
I worked at Maccies for a year and it was really fun most of the time. It can be really stressful when it's busy though, but most of the time it's not too bad. If you get a free meal on your break then don't get too addicted because I gained so much weight whilst I was working there :( haha.

Well done on the job & good luck with it!

Awww thanks for all the replies guys (: I am excited to start there.. i've made new friends already xD
But I don't know if i'll be able to resist the free meals.. I just don't want to put on loads of weight O_O

Other than the usual "I hate my job" stuff when it's a long day (which you get with all jobs) I've not actually heard any McDonalds worker in the UK really complaining, always seems to come across as quite a fun place to be and don't they like pay for you to go to uni and stuff

ps the new chicken mayo with a bit of sauce for an extra 10p is kinda pointless the original was fine but they should bring back bacon cheeseburgers on the pound menu please

Can tell you're young from this post. A jobs a job, better to be earning your own money than draining off your parents and everyone has to start somewhere.

Where I live the managers at the local McDonalds sleep with all their workers and if they go back they get a promotion.....

Anyways, I'm sure it'll be fine where you are. A job's a job at the end of the day.

I like a good ol' quatre pounder with cheese or chicken nuggets. Throw in a tub of sour cream and chive dip and i'm ready to go.

I don't get when people kinda turn their nose down at people working in these places, i'd rather be working in McDonald's than on benefits. Congrats on the job, remember if you don't enjoy it, it's easier to find a job whilst working than being out of work.

Chris

I don't go very often but if I do I always have good old chicken nuggets and fries.

Anyway. Nothing wrong with working there, at least you have a job!
