Most of the world will have been plunged into poverty and despair but there will be a community of ruling elite based in a sprawling city-state on the south coast of England in which there are plentiful resources and much jolility. The gates to the city will bear a gold-and-blue emblem and the motto "Visitors Welcome" despite there being a guard of Australians on constant duty to keep any undesirables out. At the centre of the realm will be an artificial mountain atop which Smiddy and I rule (with golden hair flowing) from the rich and fanciful capital of The Shack

I don't think one can really predict the future - look at how wrong the 'experts' were back in the 1960s.
If i'm quite honest I think things will remain more or less the same visually anyway, it's telling that since the Victorian era in terms of building and architecture that people still want to live in houses and be surroudned by buildings that look like that rather than horrid modernisatic skyscrapers like we built in the 1960s and the ones we continue to build today, aka The Shard.
The Shard will one day look as nasty as the BT Tower & the 60's tower blocs... Victoria Tower will always look beautiful. My hope for the future is that we'll return to the things/methods of living that worked well.

Who knows but technology will be crazy
I can see is all having chips injected into us. And with the amount of smog that is happen in china, etc. they're gonna build a big fan to blow it away from them and the whole world will be covered in smog. We'll all most likely have to wear gas masks everywhere.

Singularity! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity)
Due to the advances of AI a lot of jobs will have been replaced by computers thus increasing poverty levels
Inseriousity.

I don't believe much will change at all. Technology will advance but I imagine that rather than the "(s)he's glued to that iphone" complaint, the iphone will change to something else.

probs won't have any cashiers left, just machines doing all the work for you..
humans become too dependant on technology and begin killing themselves when internet goes offline for more than 5 minutes.

Everything that is electronic I am sure :)
the only thing relatively predictable, would be that lil chip in the brain which would do every a phone does etc.
I really don't see the world getting any more developed.. Everything to create has pretty much been created - all I know is that we'll use a lot more resources and prices of things will be massive. Also, my parents will probably be gone :( *cries*
