Here's an old scam that I thought that the MP had killed off, but I have seen it tried on me recently.
Account 1 comes to you and wants to buy Furni X (usually something uncommon but cheap and worth 1-2c) off you for a really large amount of coins (e.g. 50c), they add you and leave.
Account 2 come to you selling Furni X. They will sell it to you "cheap", usually half of what account 1 offered. (e.g. 25c)
You then buy Furni X from account 2 at that price, but Account 1 is no longer interested in buying off you and is nowhere to be seen. You're now stuck with a 1-2c furni and 25c out of pocket.
Be careful if you see this attempted on you, if something is too good to be true, it definitely is!
