Has anyone been watching season 2?

I watched season one on and off and found it good! But season 2 has been so much better! The story lines been more gripping and It's probably now one of my favourite shows from America, I love how each episode lately has been directed and I love how artistic Hannibals cooking has became!

Of course! Love it! Looking forward to the finale to see exactly how jack handles Hannibal and whether they leave anything open for a possible renewal. They can't renew it without disregarding the books which is upsetting but I hope that they find a way. Perhaps a spinoff for will is on the cards, it is essentially all about him anyway! Each episode is a masterpiece containing many other masterpieces ( food and otherwise!) and it will be a real shame to let it go after only 2 seasons.

just seen 2 episodes today and i loved it! watching the third episode after this. discovered hannibal through silence of the lamb (love it), never read the novel but i'd like to as i really like the characters and the story tho i think the tv series is deviated from the book and maybe the movies too (red dragon, silence of the lamb)

also love how each episode is named after a french cuisine in season 1

I think I read somewhere that the creators have 7 seasons planned out, they want to cover the movies and have planned it basically from start till Hannibals death.

the series atm is based on red dragon and events leading up to the following books. highly recommend all of them!

If they had them planned then surely it would have been renewed by now. Your source seems about as reliable as the national tattler :l I can see it getting stagnant quite fast if they do plan to follow the movies considering they're all based on a select few of Hannibal's killings and he's imprisoned for the entirety of silence of the lambs so we won't get any more dinner parties ;( Who knows, perhaps Clarice will enter in s3, lets just hope they have hannibal break out early on so he can remain the main focus of the show.

I've never read the books or seen any of the movies, but I plan to when I get time.

They'll probably renewal it after the end of season 2, probably waiting on the overall ratings. Though shouldn't be a problem considering the ratings keep going up.

I read somewhere that they are dragging Red Dragon and the events leading up to it all the way to season 4 and starting SoTL in season 5. NO CLARICE FOR 3 MORE SEASONS THIS WILL GET BORING

so glad that mason and margot are in it so soon but cant help but think they have rewritten margot too hard. ugh mason is so perfect though, the most recent episode (s2e11) was perfect as soon as he sipped on a martini

this show is weird, it's like waiting so long for interesting plots to unfold but getting distracted from how long it's actually taking by little things like character and quirks. i don't personally seeing this novelty lasting more than 6 seasons

I think the show's doing pretty well, every episode is so tense and the character interactions are played out perfectly, almost each episode has a cliffhanger to build up the intensity

also this episode's dish is weird, i read somewhere that it's supposed to be eaten with your own blood as a seasoning or something cause the bones are sharp and the bird is killed by drowning it in wine so it tastes like a mixture of wine and bowels, intestines lol

not sure if i should read the books cause i just got them and i didn't want to spoil the tv series

yes those birds were so weird lol dont think i would eat 1 whole bones and all
so far reading the books won't spoil anything. they're going for a backstory approach for most of the characters rather than introducing them as they are in the books, and a couple of the storylines have been altered (margot's, for instance) so there's not much spoiling as much as hinting.

tv show for these two seasons has been very much focussed on hannibal AND will but I feel like their dynamic won't last for many more series and it will soon morph into the hannibal show and just become a tv show of the books/movies and i'll get bored of it. hopefully they change a bit more and keep it interesting.

it's very deviant from the story so nobody really knows who will stay alive but my guess would be yes/yes

he'll be back with fbi in s3 probs

Yup pretty unexpected, still haven't read the books tho. Idk why it's taking them so long to respond to the emergency call lol. So I assume they're all dead now, except maybe for jack who could probably survive with the bleeding. So freddie lounds and dr chilton's are going to help in catching hannibal now?? Maybe mason too he looks vengeful
