Would you be able to use a number generator on the forum? Though I guess people could accuse you of rigging etc.

Tyler

But this means if it does stop then habbox will have to give refunds to people who paid already

Regardless or not of rigging, it's against the Habbo Way

So I can guarantee multiple people would report habbox and probably be stripped of official.

Ah, fair enough.

Put 3 dice in 1 room and 1 dice in another room if worse comes to worse?

It's against the Habbo Way.

Dice can easily be managed in other ways, but the fact it's against the Habbo Way is the issue.

I suppose we'll have to find other ways to get up funds.

What does gambling include?
Casinos & grabbers
Lottery
Arcade games

Does that mean no more p2p/p2s/rev/whatever is allowed anymore either or is this ban purely on gambling? I suppose p2p is technically gambling as you're giving up some furni/coins for the chance you might win at a game.

scottish

Well p2p ps2 rev are methods of 'gambling' as well, as you're paying to stay in a game that you may possibly lose. So yes they'll be banned too.

What free Credits? I never made enough to get free Credits from it :P.

We're unsure what we're doing yet, luckily only one person had bought a ticket for the main draw, so that's easy to refund. However, I'm unsure what we're doing about the Dream Number (tickets, jackpot etc.)

So I assume events that don't allow p2p, etc (e.g habbox events) are still allowed? How will Habbo be able to tell the difference? I can't see them bothering to check every single event to see whether p2p is being accepted or not...

You'll have to refund to the users as well.

Well presumably they'll rely on reports (like everything else), but yes events that don't involve users having over credits/furni in return for playing a game will be allowed.

But I mean they never check reports properly. Just glance at the screen and either ignore or mute/ban the reported person.

Does that mean every game that gets reported will get the host banned whether they're breaking the rules or not?

Surely we could keep the lottery but just change the name. People 'donate' whatever the price of a ticket is and then habbox does a separate 'giveaway' which is decided by the dice.

Just host the lottery on forum with a random number generator?

Habbox rules state no breaking the Habbo Way, so would be contradictory to do so, and I'm sure someone would report.

This. Same as we should have done when they banned VIP sales and the same thing that events like school fairs and charity fundraisers do to get around gambling laws: you donate X amount and receive a ticket to a totally unrelated draw as a show of goodwill

The Habbox Lottery has been breaking the Habbo Way ever since it started without so much as a peep from Sulake or being reported. Not that I think it wouldn't now there's so much attention on the issue but let's not pretend it was fine before the 3-dice thing. As I had to keep pestering Jin for credits before I reintroduced it (previous attempts often made a loss) and never had to ask him again, for that alone, I was perfectly happy to do it. The reason the HxSS prize was so high last year was because of the lottery so if there's a way to keep it going I'd suggest you find it.

As for my dream number tickets (I should have quite a lot atm.. 1 NUMBER OFF GRR), if it does end up getting closed, you can have it as a donation instead.

well fansite way to be more precise. something about monetary objective, sure it's ambigious enough to have a good defence but as they stopped fansites with VIP I doubt they'd have liked the lottery that much either.

I think Habbox could have 3 dices per room and roll them. (The person rolling the dices would roll 3 dices in one room, go into another room, roll those dices, etc.)

That would work but it would be against the Habbo Way and Habbo wouldn't be very happy if they found out an official fansite was breaking the habbo way so obviously :(

Habbox Lottery never broke the Habbo Way until today :P

With the jackpot being so high, I think it'd be unfair for people who have entered to have waited so long to be in with a chance of winning then just have no chance in the end (does that make sense?) The 350c (I'll go with the jackpot it would have been for this month), will be given to someone who has tickets.

A random member or are you breaking the habbo way and doing a draw

Since the rule changed midway through our draw, the Credits given then aren't technically breaking the Habbo Way. Therefore the draw was just keep rolling until a winner was found (like in a roll a X giveaway sort of).

The winner, was Inseriousity.; and he decided to donate it to Habbox :).
