View Full Version : HABBOX Event - Disgusted.

i attended a habbox event today called Steal the ICM hosted by Viba.
it started fun and friendly. Great atmosphere until it happened.

As the event was drawing to a close the host blocked people from the que when we had a full 3 MINUTES left on the clock.
this event was fast moving and managed to fit 7 players in from 12:56 till 12:57 yet refused to open for the others outside the gate.
The game space was ridiculously small and the bunnies moved much too fast.
not one winner until about 12:54 when that said player (raplh) was advised he hadnt actually won and instead had to redo itfor a 2nd win but this time the bunnies didnt reset so they camped him at the gate to kill him immediatley.
Disgusting it was.
Then i was spoken to like trash by DJ's in the room then cannon kicked out.

Worst Hour so far. and Now i question whether or not id attend future events.

Love ToxicMint.

Pm the events manager to complain about specific hosts.

The event should be checked by the eo at the start to make sure it's actually possible.

1. JamesSparky; won twice
2. I ended it at 12:58, which is allowed
3. The game area was perfectly fine. Nobody else complained about it.

I'm sorry you were dissatisfied lol

I can't out fierce any of you so i'm not even gonna try omg

But its his choice if he closes the event after :50 so, he's allowed to do that,

As for it being unwinable, I know some people did win, but I don't know if they managed to win 3 times in the hour because I was being domesticated and putting my washing in.

It most certainly was not winnable. And there is no reason to close early when it is full and ppl waiting to play! also the abuse i suffered was DISGUSTING i have never been treat that way by event staff ever before.

You need to get a grip. It was clearly winnable if someone won. Ending an event 3 mins before the hour :O shock horror

I won within the first 3 minutes of the game being hosted and then a further time about half way into the event.

The game is easily winnable you just need a strategy as the wired is set for the furni to go to the nearest user so you need to, "manipulate" the wired and make it come towards you then run to the icm etcetc.

yes why is this happening?
unless it's a prize for every win but 3 wins for a gb or w.e

The wins didn't have to be in a row though. If you got one win then lost, you still kept your win.

but did you give any prize at all for winning once or even twice?

I didn't give a prize because he said he didn't have the trade pass & didnt want to load his main. But I offered the prize.

scottish
10-04-2014, 01:54 PM
So in one hour not one person got a prize

Is this how **** events are now.. Should be at least one prize per like 10 mins IMHO unless it's a big event (like loads of people per round) then maybe 2 winners but they should get a bigger prize.

Other than that the eo is just being a cheapskate

FlyingJesus

Prize per X wins should only (if ever) be the rule if it's literally a 2 second game like one-on-one highest roller or something. Makes absolutely no sense for a skill game, especially if it's so difficult in the first place

There shouldn't even be the issue with 'I don't want to give out too many prizes' should there, since the events manager can provide prizes?

ToxicMint

it was shocking. Gina/Yuxin was doin events with 15c prizes and shes not even eo etc. her prize was each win aswell none of this win x times bull.

Not sure if that's the same with @:odey: (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=37924); as it was with me. Do you have enough to provide prizes out of curiousity :)? I know you were talking to me about the rewards system as well, unsure if you were able to keep it!

Kyle

There is funding available for the events team from donations etc is there not? People shoul not become e o if they can't supply prizes.

EO's supply their own prizes. They know what they're getting themselves in to when they apply.

If you didn't win a prize in this event then you need to get better at it. k.

There's no rules on how EO's give out their prizes. If they want to do x amount of wins thats their choice. And this game was extremely short. ToxicMint already pointed that out that there was 7 players in 2 minutes. So its not like you were requeing for ages.

From when I was the manager, donations were a very rare occurrence. There was a rewards system that I funded and I was able to lend out prizes if needed, but the current manager may not be able to do this. It isn't really the manager's fault on that half, though. It is very costly.

Ah, I thought it was that events management had a fund, rather than events management providing prizes out of their own personal furniture.

I want to keep the rewards system, but, I think I'll have to just do it for events like the Easter tournament etc. Don't think I can afford it every week. But there's plenty of other rewards and competitions within the dept that EO's can win to fund their events.

Nope, just the rare donation from members of the community and the lottery (which is no longer, obviously). Now the lottery's gone, donations from the community is the only thing departments can rely on. Or at least I think.

Ye it's all EM based at the minute anyway.

Hmm well prizes should be given fr every win as not everybody is going to be able to stay for the entire hr and there will be people moving in and out of the room constantly. This system is just a way to save money and nothing else. Offer smaller prizes per win that can be exchanged for larger prizes once more wins are accrued.

in the past if you hosted using a prize per so many wins you needed to make sure you were moderating it properly

like, obviously you don't want to be giving out prizes for every single winner if the rounds are short. you needed to balance it with how difficult the game is and if it's possible to get more than however many wins that's needed. i don't even know if what i'm writing makes sense omg but really you should be getting 3/4+ each event (but even that depends on the event)

Why is our most expensive department the least funded? Even before the gambling ban this was a huge problem which upper management totally failed to address at any point, it's ridiculous

Kyle

Not only least funded but also smallest an currently one of least desirable to be a part of!

To be fair,

Mathew and Jurv; did try and help, with the Carnival thing, people were allowed to p2s etc and hosts were allowed to keep them, but that died after like a week

Ok but things that would actually have brought in some profit like short-term lotteries and grabber events which were suggested time and time again for like a year weren't ever implemented because of sheer laziness. It's now a case of "come join events where you can pay out through the nose to let us over-regulate your fun"

mathew had a grabber too
but he just made his millions then left

there is ways in the dept to earn back what you pay out though, well, there's chances to.

whoever said that event should be banned, no it shouldn't as it is fun (but it legits requires little to no participation from the host...) to play, but it's so hard that the 2 win rule is just stupid. You should only really be doing 2 wins for games like black hole, drowned and tug of war lmao.

idgi there wasn't anything wrong with his event
hes allowed to finish at :50 so he finished at what... :58

it's not his fault that there was a lot of people in the event and that it was quite hard to get in to play the game
I was in the event from around ten past and played 3 games during the whole hour (ofc lost all as I'm very bad at the game)
