Retina Macbook Pro cooling

Lately my mac has been really hot and as soon as it gets hot my fans go mental. I downloaded an app called smc fan control (for some reason i can't edit my left fan) to see how hot my mac actually gets. Right now I have habboxforum, skype, photoshop and facebook open and it says my mac is around 68 degrees - 74 degrees, is this normal?? As soon as i open minecraft for instance, it will jump up to 85degrees - 90 degrees (with hxf and skype open), i know macs aren't gaming computers but minecraft is all i play games wise. I generally always sit at my desk and it has a fair amount of open space around it. Does anyone recommend any apps and or tips?

Yeah they can get quite hot, I know mine does sometimes and then I "up" the fan speed to just try and bring the temps down. But yeah playing Minecraft on it will bring those temps up for sure.

My Macbook always sits at 90ish unless I disable turbo boost and turn the fans up, with light browsing it then drops to around 45, 50.

Yeah, with this and facebook open it sits around 70ish

Historically the portable Macs haven't had the greatest ventilation, however considering this is a recent problem you may want to buy a compressed air can, find one of the hidden vents and blow some air through.

Edit: Some of the Macbooks have air intake through the keyboard, may be worth cleaning it.

Modern CPU's are designed a lot more to handle the heat, its common for it to sit up to ninety and it its gets too hot it will turn itself off, I'm not going to worry about it.
