HabboxLive New Site Layout

Heya!

For those who haven't noticed HabboxLive.com has had a revamp and we wanted to get your opinions on it!

Please let us know what you think, any feedback will be taken on board. I personally think it looks a lot better and more modern too :).

Also you may need to clear your cache/cookies if the site hasn't updated yet :P.

If anyone has any issues refreshing, usually a few ctrl + f5 will do the trick.

Same problem on the Social Media and Staff pages too - images just need transparent backgrounds :).

10 x better. A bit dark though, couldda done with some neon purple colours or something else in there but it is a HUGE improvement.

Yes. god forbid it not be full of neon pinks and greens and other eyegougingly bright colours.

Well yeah too many is overkill but a black and purple colour scheme (ok maybe dark purple not neon) is quite attractive on some things :P

Haha, you're not the first person to ask that! It's why we made the writing white because at least the writing stands out more :P. Like I said I like the dark colours as it looks more modern :).

blue, beige, white or any light pastel colour would make it look modern. hffm's layout is pretty nice and modern

this layout is ok for a fansite which just launched not for habbox...idk just me though?....

Not a bad design to be honest - It isn't too dark on my monitors here so kudos to Drew for that. Gives it a bit of a fresh look and feel compared to the older look that it's had for sometime.

I thought dark=modern was a thing in the early 00s when everyone was making tripod and geocities websites, now when pages are too dark they look like... tripod and geocities websites. It's not a terrible look that's been created but "modern" sites are pretty much all white and minimalist now - this kinda looks like Windows 98 which I'm fine with as an old man but def wouldn't call it a modern design

I think it looks really nice and it's a welcomed change. The other one was looking a bit dated to be fair.

For people who aren't so keen on the darker theme, maybe it would be possible to add a theme changer to the site which switched the css to make the content boxes a white colour or something?

Nothing related to it and seeing as V7 won't be out within a months time they thought it would be nice to get away from the "rainbow" theme and give it a bit of a fresh look. Kudos to them.

I love the idea of having 2 themes you can switch between though, a white on grey and black on... near white? If it's possible!

The aim of the dark colour scheme was to make the site stand out and move away from the norms of Habbo fansites (bright/colourful). I understand that it's very different from what people are used to, but I think it is a sensible choice for an Internet radio/entertainment site, and the dark monochrome layout accentuates the banners on the page. Arguably a better way to make it stand out is to completely redesign it in a minimalistic way, but unfortunately I don't have access to the source code which makes it difficult to do, so to avoid changing things too much (or breaking things), I had to design the layout to conform to the existing code which is a bit dated and awkward to work with. I know it's not the best, but it's certainly an improvement from what we had before, if I do say so myself :P

Thank you for all the comments so far, we will be improving the layout until V7 eventually comes out :P

I really like the new layout but kind of dark. But yet again I like black :P. If there would of been more bright colors in it would be nice but I do like the new layout anyways :) Way to go :)

Very nice, the only think I would say is but a lighter background on the main content boxes as they're quite hard to differentiate between and the background.

It was most probably either Yonder or Mr.OSH, with Joomla.

I really like how dark it is but I suppose it's just down to personal opinion. I agree it would be nice to be able to have the option of seeing grey on white or white on grey though!
