Do Americans get angry/annoyed over the fact a lot of their main superheros are played by British actors such as Andrew Garfield as Spider Man or Henry Cavill as Superman?

The first actor who came to mind when I saw this thread was Tom hiddleston as Loki, but no.. I think that if they feel they can handle the role and the casting people agree then it's fine.

as long as they portray the characters well, and the film itself goes well I don't think they'll have a problem, there's no longer a real pressure on certain type of actors etc having to fit these roles, as long as it works.

I'll stick to Doctor who. I love when I see actors from DW in movies. Always brings joy to both my hearts. (see what I did there ;p)

As long as they do a good job then why does it matter where the actor was born?
