Makes sense. The only thing that worries me, is that GoldenMerc got an achievement for 'Get 20k posts'. I was thinking the achievement system was going to be a system where you were awarded for getting all the achievements in a 'particular set', but I guess only 6 or so people will manage to complete the set that contains 'Get 20k posts' I guess :P

That was part of the plan seeing as it was suggested. You'll all find out sooner or later and it's only the automated one that are working while the rest is still being worked on. Relax everyone!

if you're still going to be giving awards to people you make it sound like it'll be sticking around for a while rather than 'achievements system set up, i can remove awards now' and the only real reason I can see for keeping the awards system around is to keep it as a safety net but I believe change needs to be more forceful than that. the merge between news/content failed because it was put on a 'trial' basis and that leaves it open for those who don't like it to disrupt things as much as possible rather than just getting on with the change. in short, no need to beat round the bush!

Try now. I've enabled the tab on your profiles so you should be able to view the achievements you have unlocked. You can also see the automated achievements here: http://www.habboxforum.com/vbactivity.php?do=allachievements. The manual ones are currently hidden.

It's the quality of the manual tasks that'll determine the success of the system.
If done as suggested, it will be better because:

- It provides motivation via small prizes for each individual task and then increasingly bigger prizes collecting a set based on difficulty (easy, medium, hard), collecting the full set (easy, medium and hard of a particular area), completing all the tasks.
- It's a way to get newer members to experience a wider range of what Habbox has to offer and get them invested in the site.
- It can be more fun and less stuffy than an awards system. Tasks could be anything and don't have to be so 'formal'
- Provides older members with a challenge
