I saw Les Miserables down in London a few months back, and it was absolutely outstanding.

Im I the only one who actually didn't like the movie of Les Misérables that much? I mean I love the actors in it, but when you read a book as mind blowing as that and then you see it squeezed in 2 and a half hours... it gets disappointing. :(

As for musicals, I don't dislike movies where they sing, but musical theater no thanks, would actually rather go to the opera.

Les Mis movie was awful compared to the stage version. You're a hater!

Sorry if 1,000 pages of brilliant are better than a quick 2 and a half hours. Plus with all the brilliancy being translated into English. EW!

I love musicals a lot, my favorite is Moulin Rouge.

Some others I really like are Grease, Sweeney Todd, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Hairspray, The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Annie. I could go on but I feel like I'll be here a while :(.

Omg I think Into the Woods is my least favourite musical, closely followed by Honk! It's awful! I recently did Annie and while it's a good show, I just don't like it! I've done it so many times now that I'm hoping she just dies in the orphanage but it never happens. OMG YAY A FELLOW RENT HEAD! I'm not a big fan of Evita tbh but it's just because I don't understand it lmao but I'm doing it in November and I'm very excited for it!

Omg I can't believe I actually sat through that...

I saw Les Miserables down in London a few months back, and it was absolutely outstanding.

You probably say Carrie Hope Fletcher as Eponine then, she is unbelievable!

My top three are without a doubt Wicked, Rent & The Book of Mormon (which I haven't even seen but its my favourite soundtrack). I love the music in Matilda and Billy Elliot and I really wanted to see them but I haven't had the chance yet.

Other musicals I like are:
Chess
The Producers
Chicago
Sweeney Todd
The Drowsy Chaperone
Seussical
Hello Dolly
Sister Act
Grease
All Shook Up

there's loads more, I just can't think! I love musicals so much and I've been planning on making a thread so thank you!! I do like 2/3 every year lol

I went to see Les Mis in December for my birthday and she was playing Eponine! She was amazing but not as good as Samantha Barks at the 25th anniversary

I love Into The Woods! It was probably one of the best I've ever done, but maybe that's just because I had so much fun doing it

I was lucky to see Wicked when it visited Manchester last year. I was amazed! I think that is my favourite soundtrack. My favourite one is The Lion King. I wanted to cry at the first scene it was just so overwhelming and amazing!!

Samantha is really amazing! I saw her in Oliver in Dublin two years ago (I think?!) but I really do love Carrie. I think she's come on so much in the past year. Watch her performance at the Olivier Awards!

It's such a horrible show lmao but yeah doing a show is always a completely different story - it's so fun! I just wanted the cast to get to the woods and do what they needed to do so we can go home!!! You know they're making it into a film with an AMAZING cast?!

I like that Carrie has made a name for herself so she isn't known as "Tom Fletcher's sister" when she's equally as talented

Yes I love the casting for the most part! Not too sure about James Corden or Anna Kendrick but Meryl Streep as the Witch is perfect.

I was talking to my friend and we were discussing who our favourite Elphaba is, personally I love Rachel Tucker and I have a place in my heart for Kerry Ellis as I saw her very last show on the West End (which was amazing!). Who's yours?

Oh please, Tom is known as Carrie Fletcher's brother to me  I can't wait to see her in War of the Worlds this year!

I think the whole thing is cast really well but I agree with Anna Kendrick. James Corden will do a fab job, he hasn't a lot of singing in it as The Butcher (but he does have an alright voice for what he has to sing).

Rachel Tucker is amazing! I went to see Wicked in the West End during her reign but she didn't perform, her understudy Nikki Davis Jones did and tbh I wasn't disappointed, she was amazing! She also played Elphaba in Ireland recently and I didn't realise til I got there and saw her name in the programme. I got so excited and turned to my friends and was like "YOU ARE ALL IN FOR AN AMAZING SHOW!". Yeah, unfortunately never got to see Rachel Tucker live.

Kerry Ellis isn't one of my favourites but she's still fantastic. It must have been really special to see her last performance! I loved her in the Chess Anniversary Concert as Svetlana
