I was doing some research and was wanting to know whether you live in a university city, or even better go to university.

With this in mind, what's the night life like in terms of clubs?



What days to students go out?

Do clubs have a night every single day of the week?


How much are drinks?

Are there any nights, that clubs in the area don't do?

What days to students go out? rofl ANY!!! multiple days at a time but i guess students tend to go out more on weekdays because it's cheaper

How much are drinks? weekdays cheapest is like 60p, mostly for vodka and mixer whilst shots/jaegerbombs are £1. weekends cheaper vodka mixer will be £2 and shots/jaeger £2.50

I live in Newcastle, home of 3 tribble vodkas and coke for £5 (Yes, 3 glasses of tripple vodkas and coke (9 shots essentially))

Also you often get to laugh at the "cast" of Geordie Shore arguing with bar staff about not getting free drinks because "They make the nightlife here" - This is always hilarious

I live in Manchester and go to Salford Uni, and manchester a pretty big city, haha.



What days to students go out?
- Normally our flat/friendship group theres normally around at least 10 of us on a night out. We go out any day really! Depends where we go drinking.



Do clubs have a night every single day of the week?
Yes pretty much every club in manchester is open every night, with a different theme.



How much are drinks?
Depends on the club, normally if we want to pre-drink the night starts out at The Font where cocktails are like £2 each so its cheap to get drunk, but in a club I mostly spend between £4-7 per drinks



Are there any nights, that clubs in the area don't do?
No they mostly do any night.



What kind of music do you like in the clubs?
Indie/alternative music. It's why I like fifth avenue a lot, and manchester because of northern quarter. but I don't generally care when Im completely drunk as long as its a good time.

Up north is cheaper but full of northerners, down south is expensive but you have civilised people living there. Depends what your priorities are but if you're not bothered by being a long way from home then go north just to save money, students are students wherever you go really

How much are drinks? depends, cheapest are like 1 pound shots and sometimes they give you a discount card, idk weird

What kind of music do you like in the clubs? to be honest music played in clubs here in so weird, like apart from rock clubs and etc, if they play any song that you can actually dance to without having to ''fist pump'' is shakira from 10 years ago.... just no. I like clubs back in Portugal because we have a lot of Brazilian music that is properly ''danceable'' (and the kuduro version people here know is ****)

Most days, but the main ones were tuesday, wednesday, thursday for students. Rest were normal nights with no drinks deals.

Clubs are open every night but sunday there, they have 3 specific themed nights.

sunday usually is the only night, unless it's going to be a bank holiday monday

I love cheesy, older music, I certainly don't like the music out at the moment.

Liverpool is busy every night but it's usually Thursday student night.

Yup.

How much are drinks?

Main student bars in Liverpool you're looking at £2.50 to £5.00 for every double.

Are there any nights, that clubs in the area don't do?

I don't really do clubs, I mainly do bars or bars which are a mix of a club & bar.

What kind of music do you like in the clubs?

In the bars I like Motown/1940s to 1960s black soul/jazz and all that.

But also anything with a beat really. In another place I go they remix Foals/Bombay Bicycle Club etc.

That's Concert Square and all the streets leading off and around it are rammed on nights out. It's good.

Best places for nightlife but cheap i've heard are Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds & Newcastle.

Students likely go out on student nights, Friday and Saturday or all the time.

So my uni city is Lancaster. I live at home and commute; I'm not even going there at the minute cause I'm on placement.
I'm in third year and I've not been out once this year, I went out just one time in second year and every Wednesday in first year.



What days to students go out?

Wednesdays and the weekend. Tuesday is quiet; I heard Monday and Thursday can be alright too but idk!!


Do clubs have a night every single day of the week?

Hardly? I guess pubs and things are open but not really a 'night'!


How much are drinks?

Depends where you are.


Are there any nights, that clubs in the area don't do?

I dunno what this means but there has been a range of nights (I remember Where's Wally being my fave in first year 8))


What kind of music do you like in the clubs?

When I go out anywhere I love a mix. A typical night near home for me would be chart music in a couple of places, indie in another and 80s/90s/00s in another haha such a mix! Bit of a sucker for Avicii though
