So its been quite awhile since i last played Habbo, what happend to all the casinos?
the Trade section on navigator used to be filled with them but now cant even see one?
Habbo has limited rooms to only allow 3 dices to work in a room so it has basically killed casinos

oh wow, they made a huge mistake there.

They believe:
Rooms with a great number of chance elements in them are often linked to hacking, fraud and/or cheating, and are therefore harmful to the Habbo experience.
And therefore:
Using randomizers with a possibility to place bets may result in trading passes being removed temporarily and repeat offenses will result in permanent removal of trading passes.

I was unfortunately disappointed in this limitation in my opinion. Betting was my life. That's all I did to make my money. I have none now. They also lost a ton of their valued casino members. Ouch!
I agree, casinos were a huge part of Habbo Hotel.

They wanted to release Habbo for iPad, and so it made sense for them to take this action - meaning the app has a larger audience on iTunes.

they weren't a huge part of habbo at all

they undoubtedly were to a lot of people, even if they weren't your thing. they weren't mine either but there's no denying they're the only reason a lot of people played.

has loss of casinos had any profound effect on the black market yet or are gold bars still stable? I know that supers are a little more volatile.

The iPad app is out in CA so far if you didn't know?

because on app store they can market it to all ages rather than just ages that are allowed to gamble globally

What @Kyle (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=30795); said :P. It's rated 12+ on the app store - if gambling was still allowed and they had to include that in the ratings then it could push it up to 17+ if not higher (not sure exactly).

Oh I see! Well most app stores accounts are in parents names anyway and they'd let them have it, but oh well cool :P

A lot of people said this would be a huge mistake by Sulake, that isn't proving the case so far. Numbers are stable, no dramatic decrease, like there was with the c4 and mute fiasco.
The gambling thing isn't true either. Gambling has not been permitted by law for under 18s since Habbo was created. It isn't a legal matter. Powertoo even posted in her group forum that gambling is allowed. What is not allowed is gambling on randomized furni. You can still gamble on your skill, i.e. you can pay to enter a game of falling furni (paying to have a chance of winning is gambling) yet because it is skill (how quick you can click etc) it is allowed. Sulake aren't stupid; they know what happens in casinos, it was a good decision for current players and for what I imagine their business plan to be.
The only difference has been an increase in trading supers/ltds (partly because of the MP update) - which is actually a positive development imo. Glad they're gone.
I can play it on Holiday if it comes out soon :D

the big players from the blackmarkets are using naughty Habbo clients to gamble real Habbo gold bars and supers
So the prices will probably rise, but not by much

If people gambled supers and gold bars in bulk and we're naughty enough to use blackmarket sites to push their profits...
They could make a few thousand when they wanted to in a week or so
I think Casinos were probably the most important and well-liked part of Habbo.

Ok. Habbo ipad has no effect on this. This was a decision based on feedback from scammed users and habbo ipad is just a new branch of habbo and had nothing to do with the patch of casinos.

I think it had a great deal to do with the iPad thing. Sulake have been getting away with the gambling thing illegally for years. But a company like Apple would not turn a blind eye to it and it would immediately have been removed from the App Store pending a classification update to 18/21+ if it wasn't removed as it involved gambling.
And as much as Sulake would like to think it was okay it wasn't. Underage gambling is illegal

Well then, you're an idiot...
Habbo haven't acted upon user feedback for ages now, or ever cared about people been scammed, it clearly stated that if you got scammed, it was your own fault, not Habbo's.
Apple would not approve the app for any audience once they realised that gambling was around. It's the same principal why 13 year olds like you can't download apps like William Hill or Sky Bet.

If underage gambling ever mattered to Sulake before they would have cracked down on this right back when it first started appearing on the hotel. The new app for iPad obviously spurred on this change. Otherwise, they wouldn't have bothered. It's in the same category as muting the hotel only after Channel 4 exposed the underbelly of the dating floor. They only care when it's convenient for them to care. This is how most corporations work.
I can imagine gambling would have been removed if Channel 4 had cottoned on to that too. It was a necessary change in all honesty.. casinos were amazing but Habbo needs to move on. To be honest I wish another company would come take Habbo's place that cared a bit more..

oh no u didnt!!!
*REMOVED* That is the most stupid point i have ever heard. Its not apples job to check for gambling on habbo. AND HABBO IS NOT A KIDS GAME. ITS A TEEN GAME. Page 3 section 4 Apples terms and conditions it says anyone over the age of 13 or older has permissions to take part in gambling apps.
So you, once again, have made a stupid point, like all of your posts are.

again, you're an idiot, learn to read:

When did I say they would check? I said once they realised: e.g. through user comments or complaints.
Also, you can't gamble at 13, don't get you hopes up.
As a general rule, the minimum legal age for gambling is 18 years old. This applies to adult gaming centres, betting shops, bingo halls, casinos, racetracks and online gambling. The exceptions to this are the National Lottery and scratchcards – you’re allowed to take part in these from the age of 16.
So get off your high horse and go to bed.

"The new section detailing apps for children under aged 13 specifies that such apps must include a privacy policy, may not include behavioral advertising (ads based on in-app activity, for example), and must ask for parental permission before allowing children to "link out of the app or engage in commerce"
Basically yeh you can have gambling apps at 13, but not ones that you have to put money into
e.g. buying credits.
"These new rules prevent developers from collecting information from children under the age of 13" - e.g. entering personal data such as card details or contact numbers to purchase credits
"20.5 Apps that offer real money gaming (e.g. sports betting, poker, casino games, horse racing) must have necessary licensing and permissions in the locations where the App is used, must be restricted to those locations, and must be free on the App Store" - Meaning that for real money gambling you must have a license and in the license agreement for businesses putting out real money gambling act, it states:
"Users of the application MUST be ages 18 or over, strict verification and security measures must be used to ensure that this is the case at all times"
so once again, please, just shut up until you get an education.
thanks for your -rep by the way xo

Hardly an idiot when he was stating his opinion. Yeah his posts might not be what everyone would like, but he doesn't agree with something, so what? You may have a different opinion than him and that's fine, but flaming someone for it is a bit far.
I don't think Habbo needed to branch out to the Apple platform as such - why not just tell players how to get on it via mobile devices? At least that way they wouldn't have been more obliged to put the gambling ban in place. I agree nor disagree and can see it from both sides, but they wanted to become a gaming platform, and that failed so much with the removal of the Games Center, and now they've taken away so many games from years ago. I'm not too fussed on it, but it's shown a real decline in some much loved rares.
