When browsing online do you maximize your windows or keep some of your screen free?

No omg it drives me crazy lol! If I'm watching something online I might make it so it's half youtube or whatever and half skype but that's it.

I have two screens so having free space isnt normally an issue. Of it's the web browser then yeah I maximise that. If it's programs such as Skype then no, I normally snap that to the right hand side of the screen. It really depends on the program really and what I am doing on it.

I maximise all the time because my new screen's quite small and I couldn't see anything properly if I have more than one thing up anyway :'(

Depends what I'm doing. Like Matt I have two screens so even when I snap things to the side, it's still big enough to work with! :)

Rarely, I like to swap between Windows quite often so I rarely ever maximise.

If I don't maximise my windows it really bugs me, I've half and halfed with Skype and YouTube before, but anything else is just aggro.

No only thing that'll take up a screen is games other than that it's floating about/half a screen.

Yes, unless I'm working, then I'll have the split screen in half for my writing program and my PDF program for example.

Not anymore. My screens are configured by Nvidia drivers to behave like a single screen (Better for watching videos / playing games) so if I maximise I end up with one window over three different screens.

Most of the time yes. When I first got my mac I didn't because the screen had so much more space than my pc beforehand, and when I needed another page open I'd use my laptop - still do that occasionally, helped when doing rare values work instead of switching between windows :P. But most of the time, maximize. On my laptop, definitely.

For stuff I'm working on for a long time like browser or photoshop if I'm actually gonna do some work then yeah maximise because then I have more space to work in obv but Skype I have small and sometimes I make the browser smaller and push it to the side so I can play Champsionship Manager 2001 at the same time

on my laptop I'll usually maximise my browser unless a chat is active in which case I make it horizontally shorter and put the chat on the side

on my desktop the two screens is enough to fit pretty much everything since I'll have Skype, aim etc in smaller boxes on my secondary

wots aim?

its just an instant messaging platform

only me and my 7 friends use it as a permanent group convo

it's good because you can see everything that's been said in it even if you haven't been logged in all day
it's just better than Skype, group convos on Facebook etc

i like how it works, has embedding on pictures and videos you link etc
