Yes so has anybody travelled alone on here? Not just places in Europe but more the like of East Asia? I'm so bored of everything and i've always wanted to go to New Delhi in India... the problem being there's nobody who wants to go apart from me. :P I was just looking at flights and hotels and it's dirt cheap and i'm sorely tempted to.
Has anybody travelled alone before? Would you advise it? Etc

I'd love to go on adventure holidays and visit the best sights on earth but that's not something my friends are interested in, and no I just wouldn't go alone.
Sure it'd be fun but experiences are best when you can share them with someone else, plus you'd eventually get lonely if you didn't meet anyone there.
If I was reaaally desperate to go somewhere then maybe I would offer to pay 1/2 their holiday price or the full price.

I did Camp America last summer.
I know it's not Asia where you specified but I can comment on the whole 'being away from home on your own' thing.
Obviously working at camp I met people once I was out there/at the airport ha. But still, they were complete strangers when I met them but we were all in the same boat. If you did go on your own, I'm sure you'd meet people in the same boat as you. Have a look see if there is any companies that travel out to Asia and do tours for travellers etc? The people I met out there are amazing friends of mine and I've kept in touch with them.
It is totally worth it if you can do something like that. It's definitely something you can put on a CV/job application to make you 'stand out'.
I'd recommend it cause it definitely changed me for the better; I'm much more confident in myself and less dependent on my parents!!
Good luck if you choose to go :)
i wouldnt go alone but my friend went canada and new zealand by himself and u meet loads of ppl along the way
and ive read stuff about young ppl travelling alone and they meet so many kl ppl at hostels and wat not and sometimes even start travelling with the friends they make who are also ridin solo

yh i mean it would be really dangerous cus u will be on ur own n u will be v vulnerable but if ur willing to take that risk then go. if u wanna go travelling alone the best place to go is probably a European country
I plan on travelling in the future but not alone

myles and subo have a point!
if you're going to a corrupt country on your own, be careful and don't piss off the locals. it's easy to make a lone traveler /disappear/ in a remote area with no repercussions

European countries do appeal to me but not in the same way as India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, China and the Anglosphere too. The first European country i'd like to go and visit would be Russia so that's pretty far too. :P
I've never traveled alone but I would love to do so in the future. Tho it'll be expensive if you can't split the cost of a hotel but you can just camp out or coach surf. I think traveling alone would be an eye opening experience, you would probably meet lots of new friends on the way esp the locals. Sometimes could be nerve wrecking but that's all part of the experience of solo traveling unless you're looking for a luxury vacation
I've been to China (group trip) several times and I can assure that it is generally a safe country for solo traveling, but no place is perfect, there are pickpockets and scams in China too tho I've never encountered any during my trip. Wouldn't be a problem if you look out for yourself
Depends on the country you're going. I don't know much about other countries but I think China is a great place to travel alone
If you're planning to go to China or Malaysia i can give you some advice

i didnt enjoy it but i think it could be okay i guess if there wasnt a stigma of travelling 'alone'
and shopping alone is fun i reckon
but for security, i won't recommend
I caught a plane by myself once and it was terrifying. :P So no, I wouldn't.

aaw hun, that isn't that bad, but then again I do it like 6 times a year so I'm used to it, it gets easier!
I plan to go travelling on my own, as long as you do all the right research etc you shouldn't have a problem, and I can imagine you being sensible enough Dan, so go for it. Especially places in Asia, they're top of my list (and Egypt)

I have never traveled alone mainly because my mom wont let me out of her site. But I would love to tho. Just being alone and relaxing
I haven't travelled alone but I don't see why it would be a problem. My dad has travelled all around the world for his job on his own and he has always been alright!

I caught a plane by myself once and it was terrifying. :P So no, I wouldn't.that's like the most alone i've ever been haha :P and i was scared ******** but it was when i was extremely socially awkward so that might explain it!
i'd love to travel around the world when i get a bit older and have money saved up (or maybe when i retire or something?) i probably wouldn't do it by myself for fear of something dangerous happening to me and the fact i get very lonely easily hah

Personally I would never travel the world alone. I would want someone with me in case of emergencies.

Was that HotelUser? But on topic:
I haven't personally travelled anywhere out of the UK on my own but might be something I'll do in the future. Once I get my new passport I do want to travel to a few places in Europe but have no idea if anyone will want to go with me so might have to do it on my own!

I don't mind travelling in the same country on my own, but if I ever went out of the country to travel, I would have to have someone with me as for some strange reason, I would feel very alone. So yeah, I'd only travel alone in the UK
I will be traveling by myself next summer to Germany, so the flight over from canada is gonna be a bit nerve racking, but it's only going to be like 5/6hrs, instead of the 16hrs I've done to shanghai. Haha

I've traveled alone numerous times, been around Europe twice and going to America solo in November.
Only once did I feel "lonely" on my trip, but you kinda ignore that feeling because you meet so many awesome people in hostels (highly recommended over hotels). The people you meet are usually down to earth, you can either travel with them for the day or not - that's up to you. In Paris I met some Canadian fella who was alright but by the end of the day he was just annoying. Then again in Glasgow I met a Canadian girl and re-caught up with an American girl and I had a blast. They introduced me to Reese's, never had them before then.
