I used to have a Blackberry Playbook but it broke, so we sent it off for repairs but it got sent back like 5 months later so I got a laptop for the christmas after it

It was good at times but the charger plug hole thing wobbled so I had to hold the charger in place which got very annoying ;l

I did love it at the time though but I do prefer my laptop :P
I still have my tablet but it's tucked away in the drawer somewhere haha!

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch.
Android
It's actually been great, got loads of space on it even without a memory card and so far I haven't had any problems with it. Positively surprised with it, I don't use it that much, but I've had it a while now - I think a year and half nearly.

Only negative would be it'd be better if it had flash on the built in browser, but I just downloaded an app that can do that so it doesn't matter.
Yes.
No.
I use it to play games and different apps on it, and to check the forum and Habbo sometimes.

I have the original iPad

Its on iOS 4 or so I think as I jailbroke it :P (and they've stopped releasing firmware updates for the old iPad I think :()

Positive thoughts? Its light, convinent.. I've had it since virtually day 1 and it still works great.

Negative thoughts? The lack of firmware updates, no camera :(. Its not as 'useable' as a PC, idk. Like it doesn't have flash and stuff.

I do like it, gonna get the next iPad when it comes out :)!

I prefer using it to my PC at times. I like lying in bed watching stuff on my iPad but for anything other than that I use my PC.

Mainly use it for the above, watching youtube videos and stuff whilst in bed, and listening to music on journeys etc.

What tablet do you have? (brand and model)
iPad 4th Generation

What OS does it run?
iOS 7.1.1 or whatever the latest version is now-a-days -.-

What are your positive thoughts on it?
Lightweight, durable, simple to use, millions of apps all the common ones etc etc

What are your negative thoughts on it?
Feels delicate, although it is stronger than it looks. Scared of scratching it!

Overall, do you like it?
Yeah, does what I want it to do!

Do you prefer using a tablet to a laptop/PC?
Depends, for simple tasks like music playing then sure but if I want a full keyboard and mouse then a PC is still the better choice.
I normally use both together though.

What do you mainly use it for?
Portability.

1st gen google Nexus 7, running on 4.2.something (latest) android.

Positives?: it was such a good price and is great for everyday general use, which is what I use it for. Can be a little slow as it's slightly older gen now.

Negatives?: Due to the fact google does not recognise Guernsey as a place, I have to use various proxies etc to download and update many of the apps now. It's only wiifii, not 3g.

Do I like it?: I love it, I used to hate tablets and not understand them (mainly because of their price probably) but this one has really swayed me, so easy to travel with and I used to travel a lot!

Prefer it to Laptop?: Yes and no? It's easier to carry and i prefer using skype, facebook, twitter and playing games on it, BUT can't play habbo, not good with documents really (size more then anything) and i find it impossible to moderate on it :P

Main use: To play games and social network, without having to carry round a laptop.

What tablet do you have? (brand and model)
Apple iPad 3

What OS does it run?
iOS7.1.1

What are your positive thoughts on it?
I like how portable it is, I can carry it around in my bag at college and it's not that heavy either. It has all my textbooks for my course which saves me carrying all 4 of them. I also like it because I can use it on the bus and in the car and it doesn't attract a lot of attention.

What are your negative thoughts on it?
The fact that it says the memory is 16GB but in fact the iOS takes up 2.8GB which means the actual capacity is 13.2GB

Overall, do you like it?
Yes, mainly for the reasons I've stated in question 3. :P

Do you prefer using a tablet to a laptop/PC?
I've actually just started looking into a chromebook because although the ipad is good it can be a bit of a pain to write essays on it.

What do you mainly use it for?
Social networking, Internet surfing, making notes in college and until I get my chromebook writing essays.

I have no games on it so mainly for work purposes.

What tablet do you have? (brand and model)
Apple - iPad Mini with retina display
And an iPad 2 which is now only used occasionally.

What OS does it run?
iOS

What are your positive thoughts on it?
Reliable, portable, great selection of apps and looks great too :P. Plus it didn't cost too much either. Great battery life and charges quite quickly too. Plus it's backed up automatically and is in sync with my iPhone.

What are your negative thoughts on it?
Safari reloading every time you switch between tabs, the majority of the time. Could perhaps do with more than 1GB ram! And I've got used to Touch ID on my iPhone, would be nice to have it on iPad. Plus I wish they'd put the entry baseline model's storage to 32gb instead of 16.

Overall, do you like it?
Yes, definitely!

Do you prefer using a tablet to a laptop/PC?
Tablet most of the time. But if I need to multitask quite a bit, or need to have lots of tabs open in browser then I'll use my laptop - which includes when doing coursework and stuff too. Plus I tried using Microsoft's excel app and it was missing quite a bit of functionality so I had to use my laptop instead.

What do you mainly use it for?
When I'm lying down e.g. At night and want to go on YouTube or browse the web, e.g. HxF, and also when revising as I can view all the lecture slides.

What tablet do you have? (brand and model)
Samsung Galaxy 3 tablet

It has a strong capacity as the machine. I dropped mine I don't know how many times and not a scratch and no cracks what so ever. It does browse the internet quite fast and good graphics.

Well I like using my tablet to watch online movies which loads faster then a PC and less frequently getting any viruses from watching movies.
