The front of my hair is about 5 inches, the top is around 4 inches and the rest is probably like 1cm?

not sure atm but when I get it cut i get a 2 on the sides and back and then on top it starts short at the back and gets longer towards the front. By the fringe its probably a good 3 inches. Blended on the sides n stuff

For a guy, my hair is longish. I have a fringe? And my hair goes over the ears or covers the ears. So compared to a grade 2, it's long :P

It's not that short anymore but I wouldn't class it as long. It's shaven at the sides but longer on top.

I have layers that are now quite visible now that my hair is quite longer (it was just below my shoulders when I got it cut months ago). Length wise now it's just about above my elbows now.
