There are three sets of events over this month and the nine fansites were split over them. We'll be hosting an event on the 26th - Memorial Day in the Us :)

There were three events: mothers' day, family day or something like that and memorial day- although none of our AGMs were able to attend this fansite meeting, I believe if I was there, I would have picked memorial day anyway.

All of the celebrated "days" are more USA-centric this month, but I'm glad we got memorial day because I actually know the slightest bit about it, and I gave the room idea to Sam :)

Out of 4 of you not one was able to attend?

Bearing in mind they're held in the middle of the day, Matt and Sam work, Chris... college? I can't remember now Wispur; i'm sure there is a reason though). You're supposed to send ONE name in, one rep, I volunteered myself but I was at University working on my dissertation. It's not really a big deal, we got all the information from the meeting in an email afterwards.

I keep getting told that habbox agms aren't attending fansite meetings
would it not be wise if an agm cannot attend to send a community manager like odey instead?

I'm glad habbox didn't do the mothers day one, at least the memorial day one is the most public and well-known.

Only one of the AGMs can attend, AFAIK. This is the only one we've missed, I was at the last one, Sam was at the one or two before - where do you "keep getting told" we don't attend? It doesn't really matter if you don't anyway, because like I've said, we get an email brief of it anyway.

it would just be good to have someone representing habbox in the community in realtime and then perhaps a better handle on events could be had rather than having to wait for a brief and figure out what to do afterwards without the support of other fansites.

Then that person would have to have no education or a job outside the normal working 9 to 5 hours then seeing as the meetings always tend to be just before anyone is home.

They obviously didn't know who I was then (it was just after I became AGM), because from what I can see we've been to all of them except from the very latest one. Don't listen to everything people tell you, esepcially when it comes to Habbo because I've noticed a lot of petty lies flying around recently when it comes to inter-fansite communications and relations.

It's not like we don't have contact with Sulake because we do exchange emails, some of which are then forwarded to ALL of the fansites.

At no point in meetings do fansites really discuss what's happening that much, it's mainly Kitchen who tells us something, we have a discussion in the room and then she asks us to formulate ideas properly and email them into her. I don't really see any particular BENEFIT in going to them, yes it's nice to meet other fansite owners but I don't think there's anything which actively detracts by us not going. All the organisation of events happens off-client, even in the events that fansites work together there's just not enough time for discussion or any form of planning, its just a quick update from Sulake to us really.

Also, your point about waiting for a brief and figure out what to do... well there is never a real 'brief', she gives us the day or name of the event we're making something for and we can do whatever we want for it.

They can't really expect everyone to not have school, college or a job, because most people have at least one of those.

Kyle; that might be because the other representatives have the badge as far as I know, but with Habbox having 6 possible candidates for it (limit is 2/3) then other fansites can only really see who we represent with our motto! Since December (not sure on before as I wasn't AGM), we've only missed one which was the most recent - the only other one I can think of was when Kitchen was around 30/45 minutes (time zones etc.) late therefore I couldn't attend it all, I did for the most part though.

The only event this month that sort of could link to the fansites originally of UK orientation is International Family Day, but I'm glad we've got something different to do and having someone who knows about the day and has great ideas for it too!

There most likely will be a badge for the event too, no clues on what it'll look like yet though :D.

I love the idea of hosting less UK oriented ideas as we're not a UK fansite, we have lots of Americans here now and we should be supporting and providing for them just as much :)

Considering staff structure is manufactured by Habbox I'm not entirely sure if they would care or notice.

Inseriousity.

Laura's right, fansite meetings are largely pointless. Just a member of staff going through a list of items, some people suck up, some people make suggestions (these are largely ignored), everyone leaves and an email with all the points the staff member said is emailed out. Despite that though, it's probably best to go along anyway just to show we're not dead lol

Some people decide it's the time to try and pull a fansite up (not Habbox, some who are no longer official) on anything they've done wrong when they're no angels themselves!

I agree, at least if we go we get a bit of input too, and sometimes they go with your ideas :D (it only happened once ok :().
