Stephen Sutton.
The message reads: "My heart is bursting with pride but breaking with pain for my courageous, selfless, inspirational son who passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 14th May.
"The ongoing support and outpouring of love for Stephen will help greatly at this difficult time, in the same way as it helped Stephen throughout his journey. We all know he will never be forgotten, his spirit will live on, in all that he achieved and shared with so many."
Life is so damned cruel, what else can you say?
I know a lot of people die everyday for all sorts of reasons, but I guess it's always worth remembering with stories like this just how damn lucky you are just to be alive and in good health whenever you are down in the dumps and feeling sorry for yourself over the most stupid things possible. An absolutely tragic story, I hate reading of stories like this. What a horrid and cruel disease - hopefully one day it is beaten for good.
RIP.
