right because uni's finished i've got in a bad habit of sitting around all day doing nothing

so I'm thinking of taking up running just to improve my health, theres a nice park just up the road from me so that'll be a nice place to start just wondering though

whats the perfect time of day to go running?

If you haven't run long-distance regularly before I'd suggest doing C25k (http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/couch-to-5k-plan.aspx). Nine weeks and you'll go from nothing to being able to run 5k comfortably. The NHS podcasts are free and there are a tonne of apps as well.

I did it ~2 years ago and it worked exactly as described. At no point in those 9 weeks did I think there was a run that I wasn't fit enough to do and I was legitimately unfit at the beginning. Probably the best part is the short-term goal aspect of it. Literally every week you see the improvement you're making.

Also buy a proper pair of running shoes and run on grass if possible over concrete / tarmac: your body will thank you.

depends what kinda area u live and what your route is
at uni it's relatively quiet all the time for me and there are nice long roads with lots of scenery so wehenver
but at home there are always old men walking their dogs and weird couples that are in spandex 24/7 working their glutes in the day so night time is better

I hate when i'm running and there are people are looking at me. I prefer the morning or I will go running/jogging when the sun has set

thats a really good part,

my unis at salford so obviosuly its a ruff area and the local park is called peel park but its nick named rape park,

I might see, I think mornings will be safe because its in daylight and it'll be empty, and evenings is more people as many students cut through the park to get to uni

I've seen some people run during the evening. Around 7:30-8:30 pm... The sun has gone down a little, and then also by that time, you can shower just before bed, and you yeah... But either time is ideal.

according to science, around 2-4pm? From things I've watched and read, as you're fully awake, fed etc so will have most energy?

But I like to job around 10/11am or 2pm.

Depending what I'm doing that day anyway.
