Right guys il start off with a bit about me so you can't call me a 12 year old ****** ;)
I'm an 18 year old motorcycle enthusiast and when i was younger I made 3 habbo fansites. Nexthabbo was my only one that become popular.. I since moved onto building real websites. But the trouble with them they were all good sites but were based on something that had already been made such as a social networking site I then decided to open Awsotech a technology company which i left last month and gave it all to the other guy who was in charge with me. While at Awsotech I bought Vectoreze and put it under the Awsotech name, i took VE with me and still own this site..
Ok now the main part:
I'm planning to bring back A habbo fansite i created but never opened, because I gave it to my friend Ryan who actually made it an official habbo fansite for 1 day! lol but i'm going to be bringing it back in the summer and was wondering if anyone was willing to help me?
I want to create a Habbo fansite which will build a new community and offer something all the other ones don't. All the other one's are pretty much dead or on the way to their graves. I'm only doing it as a hobby nothing serious because i'm past the age to play habbo now :P I won't be playing it anyways just setting the fansite up..
So yeah anyone interested?

I think if you're going to develop a Habbo fansite then you really need to be playing Habbo for it to work out. Okay the designing and all that may work while not playing Habbo, but the name won't get out there automatically. Sounds like you're just looking for someone to come in and run a brand new site while you sit back and do nothing once it's set up

If you feel Habbo is too childish then why open a Habbo fansite when you're fed up of Habbo itself, doesn't seem to make any sense.. surely you should have an interest in the subject in order to make a website about it

They are interesting to make themselves but I dont see why I have to play habbo to make one. They are just simple websites and fun to make.

pls stop populating fansites on this fansite forum xx
it's like going on thishabbo and askin them to join habbox unacceptable!!
lock this topic asap mods.
This isn't against our rules akeel; plus people tend to just give criticism and advice then leave the thread :p
I'm pasta though, you need the want to play habbo when establishing a site, otherwise you won't really get the staff and the hard work you put into designing it will probably be wasted.
Good luck though.

We still need more members of Habbox. Rather then getting them to join other fansites they can populate on Habbo not actually on a fansite website, that's just like the rules of feminism x..

You should stick with Habbox there are very many open job opportunities etc but if you want to then go ahead just don't steal our members ok pls and thanks. We're lacking events as it is considering we don't have enough open nowadays; there's probably only like three events hosted in a day and it totally isn't enough we need new events staff + new members so please remain loyal towards us whilst we try hard to find new members for the fansite. Thank you. *Tosses hair.*

Oh you still might see a few staff/members from Habbox joining or get invited to join the fansite. Besides even if you work at Habbox, they are allowed to work at another fansite as long as they stay dedicated but most fansites I have seen doesn't allow that.

@Akeel How old are you?
Why does that matter lmfao. And awkk I don't even go to HabHome anymore considering I got events host for Habbox.
I also agree with pasta, you'll probably need to be an active player within the community for this to work. People aren't going to sign up to your forum and run it for you without any knowledge of who you are. It probably needs some sort of following to become established.
How would you advertise the site once it was complete? I know an advert on here wouldn't get my interest.

I totally agree with this. If you intend also to become an official Habbo fansite chances are you can't because there's already like five active and good ones including Habbox. It is a lot of work and without the right amount of time put in it I reckon you may not be able to pull it off.

I've been in charge of a fan site before, it's pretty easy and it does take time but the biggest think of all is genuine enthusiasm to succeed and getting the right staff. Getting the right staff that will do their jobs to a level which is of a high one and sustainable is the key to a thriving website.
As bother tip, don't try and become habbox overnight. Straining yourself with content filling and endless lines of code. Things get done when theyre required and when your fan site is achieving 50 hits a day. There just isn't any point, but make it clear to the people that do arrive at your fan site that it is an ongoing project and maybe a link to the fan sites pipeline.
dont necessarily agree with that you have to be super habbo active, same again, just staff that are willing to drum up business on the client instead of you trying to be the one man band. Everyone has different talents, and getting a group of people that covers the spectrum is the absolute key. For example, you want a guy that is a good coder, a guy with a good personality, one who wants to be the next xxmattgxx, an rxperienced radio manager (if your getting a radio) so you can ensure they get the right staff at the start and finally a great forum manager as apparently, the forums are the most important thing at the moment.
I'd probably still own my fan site if it wasn't for the main coding guy going off to university. He said he just couldn't handle the work that was required so don't think it's a "oh once the lines of code are done, I'ts done" kinda thing.
good luck man.
I don't see how you can own a fan site if you don't know how to code it.

Since when does, lets say the owner of a large retail store stack the shelves, wish people have a nice day, visual merchandise, delegate staff and so on? Its called responsible delegation. As long as you have a team which is responsible for upholding a website taking into consideration fail safes, it is very very simple.
My definition of "owner" = A person who came up with the original/unique idea, shared the idea and brought people into the discussion to make the idea a product. Relentlessly liaising with staff to ensure the creative outcome is the one which is projected with general decision making abilities.
Shoot me down, do what you will, i owned a fansite and it worked for me but something happened which i've now learnt from. Learning from your mistakes. Aslong as you have genuine friends around you driving to the same outcome, whether you code or not is irrelevant.

All the same good luck with this I wouldn't count too much on it btu it'll be interesting as I said to see the outcome.
