Habbo Based Social Network

Hello there, I am Reventix, RevGFX or just Harry what every you like to call me. As I am currently learning some PHP I would like to put my skills to the test and see what I can make. I was thinking to make a chat website but just for habbo. Then a friend of my suggested a Habbo Based Social Networking Site. I will be making a chat system and stuff like that. Might make an api for people to add to their fansites. Not thought of a name yet but if you think of one please do suggest them. Not going into to much detail as I don't know everything yet. habbo is a social network in itself and has forums etc for in depth discussion. what would actual premise of this be? The problem with forums is that the only proper chatting you can do is via inbox. which can be annoying, well it is for me anyway. My social network is mainly just for me to test myself with coding. But it also a way of people to interact other than having to give out facebook. Habbo itself has limits with communicating. Most of that didn't make sense sorry about that.

Yeah i'm not down with this idea at all. As previously stated Habbo already is, in itself a Social Network with IM'ing. You creating a sideline for this would completely defeat the purpose of Habbo.

If you wanna do it to generally test your own abilities thats pretty cool, but I think you should go back to the drawing board a little bit and find the idea that is currently missing.

Personally I feel Habbo fansites cover everything and nothing more needs to be added but if you could find a way of associating Habbo, offering something that fansites don't, have a 2014 coding spin on it so with some fresh new and unique designs, then i think you would be onto something.

try making your own fansite ? get some buddies and you can code. who knows it could be the next big thing

You were basically thinking of a Facebook for habbo. But we all have access to all those type of things already. People don't really PM, you can chat to people on threads in depth easily :P

We never thought Habbox would become a Habbo certified fansite (even though it's one of the oldest) but here we are.
