2 12 year olds stab classmate to please online fictional character slenderman

2 12 year olds have apparently stabbed a classmate multiple times, believing it would show their commitment to the online fictional character slenderman, which they apparently believed was real

Luckily the girl was found and is in a stable condition. There are talks of the 12 year olds being tried as adults due to the seriousness of the crime

That's just disturbing; girls so young are being mislead by these kinds of stories. And of all people for them to worship, it had to be Slenderman...
