Madeleine McCann, who's to blame?

This is a very interesting topic because there are many different people who could be to blame for the disappearance. But I think that ever since she went missing there has been many speculation regarding the parents and how the night of the disappearance they decided to go out and leave their children without any supervision. I have recently found a user on Facebook who posted something on a Facebook page entitled "Justice for Madeleine" regarding the integrity of Kate McCann. She came up with 48 questions that she would have liked Kate to answer and I found these questions really interesting because it does suggest that there could be a possibility that this may be a staged abduction or possibly a cover up for her death. Anyway, here are the questions:


1. Why did you not physically search for Madeleine?
2. Why did you leave the twins when you realised Madeleine was missing, risking them also being taken?
3. What did you mean by 'they've taken her'. Who's 'they' Kate?
4. Why did you refuse to answer police questioning that could have helped find your daughter?
5. At the time, Gordon Brown was Chancellor of the Exchequer, not the Foreign Secretary. So why did he put so much pressure on the Portuguese police?
6. Why did you wash cuddle cat?
7. Where is Madeleine's pink blanket now, we know it was on her bed 4th May?
8. Why did you lie about the shutters being smashed/jemmied/broken?
9. Why did you change your original statement from the door being locked to the door being unlocked?
10. Why did you presume Madeleine had been abducted when there was no evidence to suggest she had been?
11. What happened to the blue sports bag that was in your wardrobe?
12. Why didn't the twins wake up the night Madeleine disappeared when there were people constantly walking in and out of their room?
13. Why did you dismiss the dogs evidence knowing that they had been right in at least 200 cases?
14. Why was Madeleine's DNA found in the boot of the hire car that had been hired 24 days after her disappearance?
15. How could you and Gerry find it in you to laugh/jog/play tennis days after your daughters disappearance?
16. Why did you get the media involved so early on ignoring the advise from the Portuguese police?
17. Why did it take 45 minutes for the police to be called?
18. Why are there so many inconsistency in all of your statements?
19. Why were the checks more consistent on the night Madeleine was reported missing?
20. Why was Madeleine crying for an hour and 15 minutes even though phone records prove Kate was in the apartment 3 minutes before?
21. Why did you hire Carter Ruck lawyers, especially the one that specialised in extraditions?
22. Why has only 10% of the fund been spent on the search?
23. Why did you suppress the E-Fits that are being used in the current investigation, is it because the Smiths identified your husband as the man they saw carrying Madeleine towards the beach the night of Madeleine's disappearance?
24. Why is your online shop still up and running even though there is 2 ongoing investigations?
25. Why did the government assign their spin doctor to control what is said about you in the media less than 24 hours after Madeleine's disappearance?
26. Why did you leave Portugal so quickly after being made arguidos?
27. Why did you lie about cuddle cat being high up on a shelf?
28. What on earth did you mean by this comment - "The police don't want a murder in Portugal and all the publicity about them not having paedophile laws here, so they're blaming us,"?
29. Why did you celebrate Madeleine's 4th birthday, shouldn't you have been searching?
30. Why is the fund not registered with the Charities Commission?
31. Why do you think it's acceptable to talk about your child's 'perfect genitals being torn apart' in your book?
32. Why is there no mention of Katerina Gaspers statement in your book, accusing David Payne of making inappropriate comments about your child to your husband?
33. Why did you draw so much attention to Madeleine's eye after the PJ warned you it could push the 'abductors' to harm her?
34. Why did you discount Mrs Fenns account of the crying?
35. What files does Theresa May have that she refuses to share with Portugal?
36. Why did you refuse to do reconstruction?
37. Why have you said you wish Gonçalo to be miserable and feel fear, he did everything possible to search for your child until he uncovered the truth of what you did to her?
38. Why were you happy with courting the media as long as they only reported an abduction?
39. Why are you suing people that are asking questions or purporting a theory?
40. Why did you spend £100K getting the police files translated but haven't released them?
41. Will you refund anyone who gave donations who have now read the evidence, should they want one?
42. How could the curtains 'Whooosh!' When they were trapped between the bed and the chair?
43. Why did it take you 144 days to get the twins tested to see if they had been sedated the night Madeleine disappeared?
44. What was in Gerry CATS file before it was sanitised?
45. How did the intruder manage to leave no forensic evidence?
46. Why was there no DNA found belonging to Madeleine in the apartment, forcing Gerry to return home to collect her pillowcase?
47. WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU WHILST THE POLICE ARE DIGGING UP LUZ KATE?
48. Why will you go to Portugal to attend the libel trial in the hope of receiving a million pound pay out but not while the police are trying to dig up your child's body?

Do you think it's right to blame the parents for Madeleine McCann's disappearance? Also, do you think that the length of her disappearance may have been dragged on due to this lack of evidence or is someone else to blame?

She shouldn't have left her children alone, so they are to blame for that - but did they kill her? No.

They live in the next village from ours, one of my old friends parents worked with them and went round their house for dinner sometimes. Seems strange how something so close to home got such a big news story about it.

Maddie's DNA was found behind the sofa. I personally believe that the parents could have killed her or she died in an accident, and then was carried out of the room by her father (would explain no evidence of anyone else visiting the room) who then dropped her off somewhere (explains a man being seen carrying a child towards the beach). If Maddie had died before the dinner, and they had kept her body behind the sofa they would have had time to plan the removal of the body and had someone to meet the father at the beach.

I think it is somewhat their fault since they left the three children unattended but I don't think the killed her or it was a staged disappearance. I have some hope that it was just a family who wanted a child and she's being taken care of. I know that's very optimistic and unlikely but it has happened before.

Personally:

If Maddie was taken... How did the person who took her know the room was going to be empty? If he saw them walking away, how would he know what room?

I think the room had been scouted for a few days before the capture... But why? It could be a random, but I think that the mother and father owed someone something and they didn't pay, resulting in the capture of Maddie.

if she was captured its all a bit odd and surely there is more than meets the eye. it seems completely farfetched for reasons rhyss gave. but also y would there be more than meets the eye they seem completely normal and i dont think anything sketchy would go on around them

i do not believe the parents have anything to do with her disappearance, although yes, it's entirely their fault. i can only assume they did this each night, disappeared off to have a fun time with their friends. i think somebody was watching them and knew what had been happening and took their chance to take the child, i can only assume the twins were not taken mainly due to the parents checking on them and finding out that she was gone 'cus i'd assume it was only a short period before she was taken. the parents were extremely negligent towards their children and extremely selfish, if you want to go have fun with your friends i'm pretty sure they had enough money to get a babysitter to mind their children or they could have been good parents and spent their whole holiday with their children. i believe something should have happened to the parents over this as it's wrong to leave you children unattended, especially when there was services to use.

from all the media attention this case has gotten i can only believe that the child has been murdered from it, although, if she's alive no doubt she'll be apart of the sex trade and there's probably a somewhat 'want' (not really the correct term) for a child like that...

I don't believe for one second they murdered their own. However, I do think that they were responsible for leaving them for the period they were alone!

Obviously parent's fault at the very least. Always a possibility she's alive, you do hear stories of people who go missing for several, several yrs (wasnt there a woman who went missing as a child and was found when she was in her 20s?) who eventually get found. Don't think the parent's murdered her though.

Yes they are to blame as they left their three children alone, but I feel that they never had anything to do with the disappearance and kidnapping.

they have nobody to blame but themselves, this case has so many different deviations it's hard which one to actually believe, it is their fault for leaving their children alone but i doubt they as anything to do with her disappearance

The McCanns' were incredibly negligent leaving their children unattended in a foreign country or any country for that matter and they have to live with it for the rest of their lives.

I don't think it helps they made a media circus out of it.

I Don't think it was the parents who actually did it or whatever but I don't think they should have left her alone, especially with her two younger siblings.

Personally believe shes dead & it was the parents.. There is no other evidence to suggest that someone else took her except what they have told everyone.. If my little girl was kidnapped like hell i would leave that country till i searched every building and every square inch of that country. You wouldnt be acting like normal so soon after it aswell, youd be willingly helping every single person trying to find your daughter and not withholding any info even if it makes you look like a pleb. The fact that they are sueing people about mentioning it or making theories just shows its not as simple as they are trying to make it look.

Give it 10 years or so and the truth will be out either way, tbf they should have been arrested and hooked up to a lie detector test imo, might not be 100% accurate but its close enough.

Thing is, if she was taken by someone who didn't like the family surely we would of heard about a ransom or some way of letting them know that they have her or did have her at least. But there's been nothing. Not to get all UFO freaky but.. I think it was aliens.

I thikn she is still alive but I don't think it was the parents that took her, although there are some questions that I would like to know the answers to. I think some random took her and still has her but god knows how messed up she would be by now.

I was having a long discussion about this topic and I personally believe she is dead, do I think the parents had a foot in it? Yes!
