I'm not really sure where to actually post this but I had a question.. What exactly is the role of Senior Competitions Staff and how is it any different to Assistant? I mean when Alex3213 was Senior it got replaced with Assistant because it was too similar to Assistant.

I think it would of been easier to open applications for an Assistant tbh..

So my question is really what exactly is the duties that will be carried out by the Senior and how exactly is it going to be any different to Assistant?

Inseriousity.

Well it actually got changed to Assistant Manager because general management introduced a staff quota (excluding managers). The roles are ultimately the same and while I have no idea why it was changed back, I do personally think that anyone who believes they're entitled to a management title when they already are in all but name are the last type of person who should get there.

When Mike resigned I wasn't planning on getting another assistant because I didn't really want another, but the admin as Comps mgmt is ridiculously high and it's impossible to do everything on your own, along with planning events and such too. I needed someone who would be able to help me with some of the admin, but also with behind the scenes stuff like planning. There's a lot of admin to learn in comps mgmt and I have a lot being planned right now and instead of getting an assistant and teaching them everything that needs doing I thought it'd be a better step to get a senior, share the admin out and give them half to start with, see how they get on and hopefully promote them later on if they want to take on more admin etc.

Obviously when I planned this I didn't know I'd be hiring an ex AGM who already knew what they were doing but there we go.

Let's be honest - they retired the role after I resigned in my honor.

Martin can't be promoted that high though, I think he said lol!

Just a sneaky way to get Martin to be assistant competitions manager without showing it ;)

He wasn't even allowed to become a senior, so it wasn't really a sneaky way since I never thought he'd even apply. I was lucky enough to have it approved though!
