So came online to a PM from a mod about a pointless post that was posted... Nearly -4- days ago.

I know it can take a while for mods to catch up but the tech forum really needs an active mod, thats ridiculous.

And to top it off.. None of the other posts which were clearly just spamming were not penalised either. GGWP.

I'm not saying you can't, but for a section that gets probably 5 posts a day, 4 days to catch up on it seems stupid, and there needs to be an active mod for the section.

Hey there,

Mods are allowed to contact people up to 14 days after a rule break however I don't think I've ever seen it last nearly that long before something is dealt with. Four days is a long time, at least longer than usual but the Mod of that area, Jordan, is currently posted away because of exams so this would explain why it took a bit longer to get to.

Your post may have been reported, that mght explain why you feel other people should be PM'd too. If there are some posts there you believe should be dealt with, feel free to report the post. :)

My last exam is on Friday so I'm back then. You're post was pointless and we can moderate anything up to around 14 days. :)

I've had posts moderated around 2 weeks old, I've even had my posts moderated days after in a closed thread.

I always thought the point of having regular moderators were that they read every post in the forums they moderated.

Yeah they do but as I said earlier, the Moderator of that forum is currently posted away so it took a bit longer to be dealt with. As for the situations you're talking about, I can't answer for those because I don't know the reasoning.

Ah, makes sense then.

*takes brave move*

Is there anything anyone else would like to mention while the thread is here?

Me? No. Moderation has been fine lately, and Calum is actually quite quick at picking up reports.

Well anyone! :P

Well done Calum0812;!! I've glad you've noticed that Aiden especially since he's recently started managing HxL, it shows he can do both sufficiently!

I just thought it was a bit poor that it took 4 days, I get people go away but cover for an area would be an idea if people do go away.

It was just one of them what if it was something worse that cropped up to me but then I guess it would of been reported. Oh well.

I much prefer the more relaxed style of moderation nowadays, I remember years ago moderators used to be onto an issue immediately which often caused arguments but then again the forum back then was always being attacked by spammers and was a lot more active.
