I did question this forum last month and now I will do it again because I've came back 2 months ago and participated in some debates and still there are no news on who won top contributor for each debate or even for the whole month.

I don't think it's like with the wiki when no one did well enough because many did participate in the different debates offered.

I know Undertaker has been busy this last month, which is normal, but I think that since it's a part of the forum that aims to engage communication and activity from members to also come up with their own debate topics, it should be given a little more attention.

If it's too much for one person to go over everything, I would suggest to get an assistant that can discuss the best performances and handle stuff when the manager can't.

Usually I will look over later on after I have removed them, and sometimes I won't hand out any awards at all if there haven't been any real passionate contributions or interlocking of views; for example, i'll prize people challenging others and actually debating them/what has been posted as opposed to people just posting three paragraphs of simply what they think - debates should be more about taking people on rather than just saying what you think. Indeed in the past, sometimes I have simply +repped people rather than announce and hand out awards.

Hope this clears it up.

It just seems all done like under the grid? Idk if that's the expression that makes sense but yeah, an announcement about it would be useful in my opinion. It would also remind people that the debates forum is there, advertising it a bit more.

That's a good point, i'll make it more formal in future via announcements... i'll stick to reputation though, it's probably most useful for people. ;)

Just to add here, there doesn't have to be a winner for every debate 100% if for one, say, no one really deserved it. So what you have is people getting the award for a good reason. Like Dan said, you could do a thesis on a subject, but at the end of the day it's a debate, so you are judged on how well you add to your argument :P.
