Just stumbled across this on The Lad Bible and I thought it was pretty amazing.
This was all done because one of Alex's friends; Matthew Cordle, killed another man; Vincent Canzani because of driving while drunk. No charges were ever made against him but Matthew felt that he needed to take responsibility for his actions and make good in the world on behalf for both of them.
They have worked with the 'Because I said I would' social movement which gives people 10 cards on which people can write promises they want to keep to better the world.
