been in this scenario twice, stayed faithful to the cheater. it's not my business to tell. they asked if they should tell their partner n both times i didnt think it was the right thing to do because their partners were both possessive and i was worried what they'd do if they found it. wouldn't tell the one who has been cheated on because you don't know they will react towards the cheater. overall it's just not my business. wouldn't tell someone they were cheated on regardless of my friendship status with either of them

i'd tell the person who's been cheated on as i'd want the same if they were in that position

I wouldn't tell. It's not my business, but I would probably tell the cheater it's usually best to fess up.

I'd probably tell them.

Think about it too: if and when they find out (as they usually do), it'll come out that you knew and thus you'll lose the non-cheater as a friend and keep the cheater as a friend. Now i'd rather remain friends with the one who has been cheated on and gain their trust after telling them.

I'd tell my close friends if their gf/bf cheated

I wouldn't tell people I don't know that my close friends cheated if they did

Although I ******* despise cheating, if you tell your friends that their gf/bf cheated they usually won't drag you into it

If you told someone you didn't know that your friends cheated they'd drop your name

Also I'm very loyal, I wouldn't do that to a friend.

In your situation though, it's hard to say, it depends on the friendships. I don't think I've ever been good friends with any of my friends bf/gfs so I haven't been put in that position before.

I know so many unfaithful girls/dudes tho and it's disgusting, it doesn't even have to be full blown cheating & it's happened to me personally before (lucky we were only seeing each other for a few months tho before it happened) and man I couldn't do anything with a girl I knew had a boyfriend 'cause damn it sucks

but regarding those unfaithful people that I'm not good friends with all getting with each other
it's none of my business

idk I agree it's none of my business but at the same time i'd want to be told if I was the friend in the situation..

it's a tough situation cos you obviously don't want to hurt either of them. im sure if a cheater is still in a relationship then they clearly care about their partner and perhaps not telling them isnt just to save their own skin but to salvage whatever feelings might be still there. talk to the cheater, make them aware that keeping a secret like this is going to be difficult and everybody will be better off in the long run if it comes out sooner rather than later. some people say that cheating is unforgivable but i think that if they were put in the situation where they'd been cheated on but their partner had covered it up to save a relationship then they would learn to deal with it if they really loved them.

stay faithful to both friends. talk to the person who cheated and help them realise that if they rly want to be with their partner then being honest is the best course of action.

I wouldn't personally get involved, but I would recommend that the cheater tell their partner - it's a lot better than finding out from someone else.

same I would want to be told and if I was told by someone who was friends with my gf, I wouldn't drag them into it by dropping their name

but most people are dumb and in a fit of anger be like X TOLD ME

then you've got yourselves a dangerous situation

I remember receiving a text before because a girl was angry at me 'cause she thought I was gonna tell this guy that she's being a thot

wtf is a thot

but yeah regardless it'll probably come out in the end and better your partner telling you than knowing everyone else about you knows and you were last to find out lol.. so encourage the friend to tell the other person.

i would want to be told more than anything if someone knew because if someone ever cheated on me that would be it without any consideration

but vice versa i don't think i would be able to break someone by telling them, but i would want to badly so if u do have the courage to... i think you should

it pretty pretty much means ****

it's an abbreviation of "that *** over there"
doesn't make much sense but it's like the opposite of a "bae" lmaoooo

but yeah if a girl cheats, it's really just a matter of time before she slips up

i havent been in this position yet, luckily.

I don't think I'd tell though, I'd definitely try and persuade the cheater to come clean, and try to figure out why they did it in the first place.

Depends who has your main loyalty. I've been in this situation, and I sided with the person who I was closer with, in this case I kept silent. :)

Tell the person who cheated that they should fess up or you'll tell them because it's unfair

Summary of this thread:

If you're female, don't tell.

If you're male, tell.

I would tell.

been in this situation once too, like jen said it's not my business but this girl started saying stuff like, 'oh you need a boyfriend like mine becca because yours obviously doesn't care for you enough, our bond in the relationship is amazing and you and arron aren't like that'

so i told the ***** straight

Depends on the situation, if the cheater told you themselves then you can't break their confidence. If you found out through other means then you should tell the cheater you're aware and give them the opportunity to tell the other before you do.
