Yeh I've read it, would definitely recommend it as I prefer it to LOTRs, it's a bit more fun to read (as it is a kids book technically). LOTRs was over-descriptive for my liking and don't get me started on the Silmarillion.

I think thats what put me off reading LOTRs, but The Hobbit looks great so i will read it soon :P
