So we all know - its summer! Leaving your window open is normal right? Well its alright if your room doesnt get tonnes of moths/midgy flies in the room - which is so annoying! Even normal sized flies come in and its a real hassle to kill them all. I have to hoover them out of my room/off the walls. Is there any way to prevent them flying in (apart from not opening the window at all - its too hot to keep them closed!)?

I just was looking at moth nets on ebay which you get for a couple of pound, think i'm gonna purchase one lol cause my room a sauna too but I hate insects. Can't sleep if there is any in my room. Spent about hrs the other night trying to kill like 3 moths and 2 flys :'(

Don't have the light on when you have the window open... There isn't a breeze anyway so the window being opening does nothing.

Anyone else noticed all these ******* flying ants everywhere. They are everywhere

We use them sticky fly strips. They catch LOADS of flies.

Only open the window if there is a breeze, otherwise nothing really becomes of it. If it's though the day, turn your light off, on a night close your blinds if you have your window open and a light on, reduce the chance of insects seeing the light and thinking "YAY LIGHT"

I have this problem all the time. The bugs don't stop me sleeping but the fact that I have dead insects everywhere a few days later is what annoys me.

My windows were open literally 24/7 but then I ave a birds nest above one of them & they're the ones that open outwards and a bird flew in my room the other day and got stuck and I was screaming and theres loads of moths at night. If I'm on my laptop they always fly into my face

Why would spiders come in through the window when they probably already live in the house and can just get to you through the floorboards

Even if there is no real breeze I do notice a difference with the window being open a lot wider than when it's on the "catch". The problems I have is a) ******* bugs flying in b) cats wanting to walk out and possible jump.

my cats jump out my window/

but we had an extension done so they can just jump onto the roof of that and it isnt far cos i do it sometimes n just hop onto the extension
its because my windows wideeee open like even if i put it open a tiny bit cos its a big window tht opens like https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTjA_BXLgta4tbun4oBxbbmKKo8Asck9 8JkE61Z0iLRpXzCyMDF
it just goes wide open in like 5mins time lmao o n theres no like thing to stop it tht u usually have but its good for the cats at night when am sleeping n they need to get out :8

just get an extension under where ur window is and ur sorted for the cat issue
