Last week, I was in a client's house at work and there was a break-in. We weren't sure if the person was in the house or not but the best idea for us was to lock ourselves in the one room we know is empty and stay put. Her suggestion on what to do was for me to search the house for the person and hit him with a hoist - yes, a hoist - if they attack me. If you don't know what a hoist is then click here (http://movement2.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/oxford-advance.jpg). How she expected me to even pick that up to hit them with is beyond me.
For this competition I want you to think of a possible defensive weapon that can be found in a residential home for older people to defend themselves with if needed. Preferably one that can actually be lifted!
Prize: 5 credits + 15 rep
