I want people's thoughts...

I was playing Basketball Friday night, juked a guy out of his shoes with a ridiculous crossover, except the guy headbutted me in the face from slipping over.
Full impact on my nose. Hurt ALOT at the time as most headclashes do.

I had a pretty significant blood nose at the time. This was Friday night, it is now midday Monday here.
When I touch the top part of my nose it is tender and sore. When I rub the nose and move it a bit I get a grating/crunch sound. I think it may be fractured... Has anyone had a similar injury before and how did you treat it?

my nose crunches when i move it too
isnt it just the thin bone bending or whatever

if it looks out of place swollen bruised etc then you should probs see a doctor
plus im guessing a broken nose would hurt like any other broken bone (alot)

Really? I never had that crunch before now.. Was flexible as anything before.
I can barely breathe out my left nostril. Maybe it's just bruising. I hope so. It's not deformed or anything so i don't care, and it's not a leg injury like Paul George's on the weekend. Dear God that was brutal.

Anyway, thanks for the reply. :)

I'd get it checked out, pretty sure the nose can over scar really easily and you don't want that.

I can crack the bone on my nose above my lip (although that has not much relevance to your problem).

I'd keep an eye on it and if you haven't already, go and get it looked at buy a doctor as it does sound pretty serious. Sounds like you're in a lot of pain too, hope you can sort it out soon!

It's almost as if healthcare in Australia isn't free.

The nostril is blocked probably due to dry blood, it sounds like it might just be bruised, if you notice any changes like if it gets worse then go to a doctor or hospital.

Go to a doctor, if you're unsure then you'd need to find out exactly what's happening.
