Out of curiousity, do you ever tip takeaway drivers?
I know some people are stringy and will wait for the exact penny in change from the drivers.
Personally I usually give them £1 or so (on top of the £1.50+ delivery charge that they'll get in the price already)

ah we have that option but I prefer paying in cash than giving random takeaways my info or sites like just-eat

most of the time they phone up and it takes 10 minutes for them to find the house
we should be tipped for being their satnav
no, i always pay online if i get it delivered anyway!

we've only recently started getting takeaways. And even now we usually go and pick up rather than have someone deliver. But on the couple of times I've had a delivery to the door, I/a friend tipped £1. do the same for nice taxi drivers.
Online card payers and big orders are normally the stingiest. People that order regularly usually have an additional tip on top of the right amount of money and then there's lazy people that if it takes long enough to find the right change will just say keep it.
I normally tip 1-2 £

pay online normally but if I do pay in cash (same for taxi drivers) and it's like £4 or £9 I'll let them keep the change

yes, I always tip them. usually 3 or 4 dollars.
not normally.
taxi drivers DO NOT need to be tipped in guernsey (petrol is cheaper, yet the base rate charge is like £2 more then anywhere in england, also no car tax, no MOT, just insurance)
Though sometimes if I don't have exact change and it's like a couple of quid away then delivery drivers will get it. Weird because I always make sure i tip waiters.
nope i rarely tip anyone lol i don't have a lot of money so try and save all of it
if my mum pays though which most of the time she does she'll tip

I used to be a delivery driver, all I can say about that job is never again! I usually tip a couple dollers because knowing getting minimum wage with those jobs isn't enough to survive on.
only if there's no delivery charge
ill if pay by card ill tip usually

good time to ask this so does your restaurant pay them a basic salary, or do they earn the money based on amount of deliveries? or both
like say it's £1.50 delivery charge, does your driver earn that + basic wage, or do they just get the delivery charge? or what

he gets £5 an hour no matter how many deliveries there are so basically he's defo gonna earn 30 that day if he works 6 hours and there wasn't a single delivery. but if he deliverers 30 that night he will get 60 paid to him cos he gets £1 for each delivery he does too
then tips are his too so say he really does so 30 deliveries that night... prob go home with at least 70/80 right?

I only got takeaways delivered for a year about two years ago now, and I never tipped - especially at the prices they were charging.

I actually work in the kitchen at my local Domino's Pizza and I would never tip a delivery driver. It's so much harder working in the store than it is driving the food around. We are all on the same per hour and it's so demotivating seeming them walk away with £20+ in bonus cash at the end of the night. Nobody ever tips over the counter.
Video is probably NSFW

i don't drink so no
nah we rarely get takeaways, i'd only do it if the food came super quick or smin
tip at restaurants though, i just feel awkward not doing it
my mum usually just lets them keep the change as their tip
so if it was £22 or whatev she'd just give them £25 and say to keep the change
usually £1-3 tip tho
No pay card online anyway
