no but recently my mum did when my brother asked her too

apparently it wasn't any good for sandwhiches cos it was a bit hard but good for toast so kept it in fridge

My bread goes in the cupboard - though I only really eat premade sandwiches from shops and have very few needs for bread at all.
My sister puts it in the freezer for when she actually decides to get it out to use it (which seems pretty iffy to me anyway)

nah we usually don't (although i've occasionally seen bread in the fridge), only do if there's no space where we usually put it. or we do if we've made sandwiches and i wanna save some

nope, it's kept in the freezer and a few slices are left out overnight in a plastic bag then put into a breadbin..

If it's just for me (like if parents are away or staying somewhere else) then I tend to because it's not likely that I'll eat an entire loaf to myself in 3 days and it keeps for ages in the fridge but otherwise just in a cupboard, or freezer for long term storage

I always think it tastes wet if you put it in the fridge. My grandma on the other hand freezes it.

This is funny because my friend IRL and I were talking about this last night!

I feel bread last longer in the fridge.

No, I don't.

My great aunt does though. She puts EVERYTHING in the fridge. Bread, peanut butter, fruit, etc.

it's strange, at home my fam keep bread in the bread bin and i prefer it that way.

at uni i keep it in the fridge because i don't eat it that much. otherwise it would go off very quick. plus lack of storage.

Putting bread in the fridge draws moisture out of it and makes it go stale faster because of the starch molecules (I believe it's the same with bananas). You're supposed to store it in a dry area at room temperature (bread bin being perfect here), and keep it away from rays of sun.
Sandwiches in the fridge overnight is a good idea bc the filling can go bad otherwise. But something like a peanut butter sandwich would be better if it's kept in a sealed sandwich bag in a cupboard.

So no. I don't keep my bread in the fridge!

Hm, no. My grandma puts bread in the freezer though which I also think is weird. But I don't think bread should be in the fridge.. It's like putting peanut butter in the fridge :P

Not really, we normally buy bread in bulk and store it in the freezer for storage purposes. Can't remember seeing any bread in the fridge recently though.

We keep ours in the freezer, we mainly use bread for toast and it works just the same so it's fine. If I want bread for sandwiches I just defrost it in microwave and again it's perfectly fine.

Our bread either goes in the bread bin for use or in the freezer to store.

I can't believe it took so long into this thread for someone to post this, you're totally right. So no, I don't keep mine in the fridge.
