so he makes money from posting photos that he hasn't taken himself.

I've sent a quick e-mail to a couple of the photos original copyright holders informing them that you're making money of their work with zero credit.

Nah, it's not even like that, The thread says show off your website and I just said I make money off of it, and for the people who dont know, I'm not claiming the photos on my blog unless stated in my links, so before you guys assume maybe get things straight? Because all the photos on my blog have a source, and that source isn't me. And Sharon, I have not. I made this thread awhile back and people are now commenting on it. I don't get why some of you guys are commenting if none of you have anything good to say why post it on my thread.. Anyways Sharon, I'm sorry it may seem like that but I only am PROUD of what I have accomplished myself I'm sorry everyone is taking things the wrong way always.

Yes, you reblog things from other people and 99% of the content is other peoples but the fact you are the origin for these photos that you have not taken means you are claiming them as your own. Enjoy your site being taken down. Lol.

Tumblr is made up of different photos most of everyone who owns a blog doesn't own the photos, no one is claiming anything as their own, tumblr consists of different blog types and I'm vertical, you emailed tumblr but nothing will happen. Everyone with a blog reblogs photos and it goes in a cycle to everyone. I get you don't like me. But don't comment if you don't

If you put something in the public domain then you are willing to accept both praise and criticism. If you can't handle that then take it out of the public domain. This is nothing personal, I hate creative copyright infringement. No, I haven't emailed Tumblr, I've emailed the original copyright holders of the photographs. PUT CREDIT on the photos, it's not hard. Someone didn't climb to the top of Machu Picchu and take a wonderful photograph for some teenager sitting on his arse to claim credit for it and earn money from it. Have some morals and think about what you're doing. GIVE CREDIT.

This is where you're wrong. I don't "post" I reblog what other add to tumblr. If you click each photo on my blog it directs you to a source and that source isn't me. Like I said when I reblog them the source shows the owner and where he/she posted their picture. On my blog it doesn't show the source unless you click reblog and it shows it. But no where am I "stealing" photos from anywhere nor am I claiming anyone else's photos. The dashboard of tumblr contains photographs from other photographers and the bloggers just "reblog" them not claim them as their own.

For instance, click a photo on my blog, it takes you to another page of mine, look at the bottom of the photo and it shows ; notes, Source: and a list of people who reblogged it etc. The source doesn't have my name, so whomever the source is , is the one who posted it or stole the picture. I just reblog the pictures on my dashboard if I like them, I don't "steal" them.

Cody

No disrespect to you Adam, but I am defensive because I really don't steal anything on tumblr, I only make money off the ads I have put on my website (tumblr). I hope you have now realized that it was all a misunderstanding that you thought I was stealing them and claiming them as mine when I'm not, the source ALWAYS is on the photos when I reblog them, the theme I have just have doesn't show any text on each of the photos unless you click them like I said! But the source stays with the photo as each blogger blogs the stuff they like. I hope you have a good day Adam, I also do not like people stealing photos because I have my own photography on there and I would know how it felt! But anyways man. Take care.

I'm with Sharon here on the repeated self-promotion angle - it's not a great way to come across.

Also, haven't you already made a thread about your tumblr?

To answer your question though, what is there to give our opinions on other than your choice of reblogged images?
If there was more to judge than that, perhaps it would be worth asking for thoughts on it.

Just my two cents.

Why do you have a link that says "Click here for my nudes. 18+ only please" but actually goes to one of those FOLLOW US FOLLOW HIM FOLLOW HER GET 50K FOLLOWERS QUICK pages

Also making money off other peoples' work is still highly unethical and to my knowledge illegal even if you give credit. I couldn't go print off a load of Kandinsky pictures and sell them no matter how often I told people that the art isn't mine

That's a group I'm in, it's a network, they put that as the description of the network page, I can see how it's unethical and I understand that but I just put them on my blog just because, but I see where you're coming from.

I guess you're right. Sorry for the self promoting angle then, I can see how it may seem like that and I'm sorry if I have been, but each blog is made up of different content and I know it's my choice of reblogged images but certain opinions still can be placed! But sorry for making it seem like that, @sharon and @Shortages
