For the HabboxWiki I am researching older fansites, those that have closed or those that are just unofficial yet active. Unfortunately, I've only been playing Habbo since 2008 therefore some of my knowledge may be limited as I was only a part of a few fansites such as Habbox, Haboosh etc.

I know a basic outline of some fansites and how they came about/what happened to them, but to expand the research I would really appreciate help from some of you! Whichever fansite(s) you remember I'd love to know about them and I've tagged some of you below as I know you were a part of them a lot.

Thanks to all of you in advance!

Jellyfish; I remember you being HabboForum's owner.
Red; I remember you being at TryHabbo (originally) a lot.
Hidden; I know you were at Habulous.
XxZammyXx; HabboHut perhaps?
jakey,,;
Mr-Trainor;

I'm not too sure of many more unfortunately, but any help is appreciated.

I wrote a few down which some of you might be able to help with:

ClubHabbo
HabboForum
Haboosh
Habbo-Charts
MyBOBBA.net
KissHabbo
TryHabbo
HabboHut/HabboHub whichever it was.
HabboEmotion
HabbopFM

I've been playing since 2004, and the only ones I've heard of were ClubHabbo, HabboForum and HabboHut.

HabboForum, back in the old days anyway, was always viewed as the older peoples forum, I guess that's what HxF is today.

Also I'm sure Becs was involved in HabboHut.

And you can't forget the classic Impetuous.net

I used to use habbomedia.net (owned by Mizki and bigbutsound) and habbonation.eu (owned by Ste471 aka MOD-Noct) in 2006/2007. What do you want to know?

You are missing several old fansites, some disappearing over a decade ago. Fortunately some are still available on the Wayback Machine.

Impetuous.net (http://web.archive.org/web/20040522172614/http://impetuous.net/) - Rumoured to be owned by Callie's alter ego Impetuous. Site closed at about the time Callie left office.
Thinkhabbo.com (http://web.archive.org/web/20060813103334/http://thinkhabbo.com/) - Owned by Nkay. and ran from 2005 to 2006 when the main site closed and moved to ThinkHabbo Forum (http://web.archive.org/web/20060813103633/http://thinkhabboforum.net/) until about 2009.
Script-o-matic.net (http://web.archive.org/web/20070227164027/http://script-o-matic.net/) - Defunct site on leaks and exploits.
Hobba.net (http://web.archive.org/web/20030901000000*/http://hobba.net/) - I believe that this was perhaps the first ever Habbo fansite, preceding Habbox. Set up in 2002 and focused around Habbo news. Unfortunately unable to access the site on Wayback Machine currently. Will look more into this.

The only fansite I used other than this was habbos.net

Habbos.net Habbo group: http://www.habbo.com/groups/182364/id

Wayback Machine pages on Habbos.net (http://web.archive.org/web/20070205193722/http://www.habbos.net/) from 2007. :)

I think Impetuous.net closed when Callie came into office, rather than leaving.

It is called HabboHut. It was Lee who was owner and now he gave it also to Alex. Senior Management changed and management(especially radio management) change radio manager almost every month..... I have been Radio Manager in 2012 did many things for the department but never was thanked for it. Lots of things happened ....but won't be mentioning it in here.

Now HabboHut is non official and practically almost dead.

habbomeadow!! Was an official fansite a number of years ago, can't remember the years it was active but at the time it was known as the fansite with the most innovative layouts. It was owned by Flumples and Kokey had some involvement (can't remember if she was co-owner or just involved in management). At the time it closed, Mr.Cone was the general manager and wizard-lfc was the forum manager if I remember correctly. The main competition at the time was ClubHabbo. I remember Sam was actually going to bring the site back a while ago but lost interest and gave up on it. HabboMeadow is the only reason I became Habbox staff because I'd written most of the guides on the site and didn't want them to go to waste so brought them all over to Habbox instead mainly the release guides!!

Little bit of info on http://www.habbo.com/groups/habbo-meadow

Thanks guys Jellyfish; that'd be cool :D.

If I start off with more well known fansites at the time, I'm thinking ThinkHabbo, HabboDiscussion etc. (not limited to them of course), then that would be great! Rep to come :P.

Habbonation was owned by UK MOD-Nuct but somehow became official in Habbo.CA. Had a help desk and was popular. I even did a Harry Potter quest for it when the 7th book was released and it ended up with a harry potter skin lmaooo. That confused a few people! Then Mod-Nuct left Habbo and turned it into a non-Habbo fansite, Urspeech, and it quickly died and faded away.

Yeah, the two sites I use to always use were Bobbavalues.com and Habtips.com I use to work for Habtips but ALWAYS had Bobbavalues running 24/7 because they always had great music! But I was Rare Value Expert for Habtips for like a couple of months. And I knew the owner of Bobbavalues for quite awhile, his name was Gabe and Habbo name was FaiL/FaiLux and co-owner was xSileNcEx.One of the old groups for habbo this was the main one for bobbavalues. http://www.habbo.com/groups/88648/id

I hope I have helped if you have any other questions feel free to ask me.

HabboVision and BubbleJuice were both owned by deegers from .ca, I worked at both and both unfortunately had a lot of technical issues that caused them to shut down.

Wasn't there a fansite called HabboSoup? It was more of a Singapore fansite If I remember rightly. Maybe Grig; can shed some light on that as I can remember him talking about it once.

Yeh, there were two major Singaporean websites, HabboSoup and Great.la that always battled each-other to be the top fansite on that hotel. Actually owned it briefly and it's interesting because the whole fansite culture is different there. You'd get radio shows that are multi-lingual: Chinese, Malay and English due to the diversity of people. Good times, Singapore fansites always had a superb community feel :P. Oh, and Great.La was also the place to get SG rare values, seeing as HabboSoup didn't have that. HabboSoup was primarily all about radio.

On top of this, I can say some things about ClubHabbo, as I was involved there at a time as both Radio Manager and News Manager. Basically, it used to be an extremely popular fansite back in 2006, beating out Habbox regularly in terms of radio (although Hx beat it at everything else). It basically went into decline due to weak management and Ryan (Skaterchu) not giving two ***** anymore. Samanfa; if you want any specifics, I can provide you then, just let me know what kind of info you're looking for.

Edit: Also, in terms of HabboHut, is used to be nearly exclusively staff based. They went on prestige, so for applications you'd have to do interviews etc. That was actually the same procedure with the Singaporean fansites- you'd get a Skype interview before getting a DJ job or in-client interview for other jobs. HabboHut was one of the first fansites to truly expand internationally and because of the huge Sulake staff presence on there, they regularly got hotel alerts out telling people to tune in or visit. This was particularly the case on the old American Habbo (Habbo.com).

Bobbavalues was also a good site for values, that's all they did and I used it- all I remember about that really.

KissHabbo and stuff was basically a site from which some ex managers of some other fansites rebelled and created it. I remember it had a turbulent time until it finally closed.
