I'm wanting to buy an Elgato Recording Capture Device, which needs a sound card to record audio. I didn't get an audio card with my PC, so will need to buy one and install it. Is there any you could suggest? I don't want to be spending like £80 on one, more like £25-£35(ish). If you could suggest one that would be great. Mostly be used fr gaming/music. Also, is there a certain type I would need or are all sound cards compatible with all pc's?

Thankyou :D

Why are you buying an Elgato Capture Device if you are using it on your PC? Unless I have got the wrong end of the stick here? They are supposed to be used for xBox and Ps4 etc?

Need a Sound Card...
O for your PC? Most computers come with a Sound Card.

Laptops don't usually have sound cards. Instead, they have integrated sound processors. However, many of the questions and answers in this topic apply to laptops.

Yeh but the guy I bought it from didn't tell me it didn't come with a sound card - meaning i'm going to have to buy one and install it myself.
