Asked which forum to post this in and got told this one :P.

Basically, I want to know some information about old Habbox Roles that aren't here anymore, or that were something different years ago. I have a list so far of some of them, but I know there's a lot more and it'll take a while to complete.

I am looking for just some information for them to put a little description on the Wiki page I've created. Any help is appreciated - if you have any other roles you wish to add that's great too.

Roles I have so far (some are obvious, but you might be able to explain them better):

Habbox Staff Photographer
Category Moderator
Category Manager
Old Trading Experts
Habpics Manager
CA/COM/UK Reporter
Animations Artist
Help Desk Safety Team
Pixel Artist
Shows Manager
Forum Administrator
Webpage Designer
Habpics Staff
Comments Moderator

Assistant Site Manager
Site Manager

Interviewer
Flash Animator
Alterations Designer
HabboxTV Manager
Assistant Tech Team Leader
Tech Team Leader
Habbo Friends Manager
Habbo Friends Assistant Manager

Assistant Site Manager (Forum)

Thanks in advance :).

Also if they were a part of a certain department could you tell me that too please :P?

You could always mention the HxHD Super Staff.

I was a script writer as part of the productions department when test:tube:baby was around (or w/e his account was called). We were writing a production called Little Red Riding Hoodie with a chavvy character. He resigned though and then mrs.mccall i think it was merged the role with the main productions staff (show hosts or whatever they were called) so I left.

Sammeth also tried to bring back HabboxTV under the productions department that I signed up to where all the roles involved were merged together. It didn't take off in the end.

From what I gathered, they hired Pixel Artists and added images to the alterations page on Habbox. I don't think it was the Graphics Department though as there were also Graphic Designers.

Yupt; that will be going in, as will Expert Rare Values Reporters, Senior News Reporters etc.

International Division Staff / Manager. It was a new department that nvrspk4 introduced and Mr.OSH managed after HxWorld closed.

Was there like a welcome committee at some point? and a new users only area so they could talk to a few people before going into the big forum? or was that a different site I'm thinking of.

I remember that, it didn't last long :P.

The First Habbox Shows
I think the first show held was with Rodja (he was dutch, and possibly a hobba on the UK Hotel). If he wasn’t first then he was second to springmoon another hobba on the UK Hotel).

These shows were very popular and gave members a chance to listen to questions from the host, at the end of the show guests could ask a few questions.

Habbos would queue long before the show began to hopefully gain entry. I could be wrong but I seem to remember any forum member with VIP, could access the show earlier than others.

Was the photographer a role? I always thought senior management took photos. I have an image in my head of a member of show staff, but again I can’t remember their name, but it may come to me.

As for Habbo Friends, you must ask nvrspk4, as it was one of his first roles.

First Site Manager was Properclone, his role would have been the same as xxMATTGxx one is today.

Pixel Artists: Their work was displayed on the main site. One name of possibly only 3 or 4 artists was that of watermelon.

I don't see "Room Reviewer" on that list. Interviewer / Room Reviewer used to be specific roles within the Articles Department.

That's a good point Drewar; I seem to remember 'Room Reviewer's, however like you say overtime they were merged into the content/news/articles department staff roles.

This is from my post in the Fogeys thread but may have some additional info:

Old Departments which are no more:

Room Reviewers / Interviewers (under Articles)
Habbo Friends
The Habbox Show Team
Habbox Productions
Habbox Hogwarts
HabPics/HabboxTV
UploadPicz
Habbox Games Design
The Habbox Council

And old standalone positions
Habbox Translators
Staff Photographer

Here's what I know (I know a small bit about almost all of the positions but these are the ones I know enough about to give you something useful :P)

Habbox Staff Photographer - Took screenshots at events I think? Also, before we had imagers and all that, you had to actually track down a staff member on Habbo to get their image for the website. I also have folders full of Hobba screenshots, as we were constantly working to update the "Hobbas" page with their on-Habbo images. I assume the photog helped with that too. Come to think of it, I think MysticalDave used to lead up the Hobba Patrol or something like that.
Category Moderator - At one point Forum Mods were assigned categories rather than specific forums
Habpics Manager - Ran Habpics (later HabboxTV)
CA/COM/UK Reporter - simple enough :P News obviously
Pixel Artist - Made alterations that were posted on the Habbox Site
Shows Manager - The Habbox Show was pretty famous, I think DJ-3000 ran them as a part of the help desk early on as well. They were eventually created into the shows department (not to be confused with the Productions department, which put on plays and other scripted shows)
Forum Administrator - At a certain point, anyone with Admin privileges as a part of their role was also denoted as a "Forum Administrator" just so people were clear - for example, it came with my role as VIPs Manager. There were some people who were standalone forum Administrators, either because they resigned but still used the forum and kept their permissions to help out, or they served very specific roles like a certain admin that was an under-the-radar security consultant :P
Webpage Designer - Fairly straightforward :P
Habpics Staff - People who acted in HabboxTV/HabPics shorts and other random roles
Comments Moderator - Comments on the news articles and regular articles were very popular those days, and there were people who specifically went through to make sure they were kosher.
Habpics Head Manager - Dunno how this different from manager, probably just had something to do with a power struggle :P but speculation
Assistant Site Manager - Equivalent of AGM. See below
Site Manager - Equivalent of GM. If you look at the general management wiki page I added in when the switch from SM to GM happened and all the people who had the title SM. The title was changed to reflect that the SM was the head of all of Habbox as the GM at the time - want to say it was Freak but you can see it on the wiki - felt that his title led to the misconception that he was only in charge of the site, and not necessarily the forum or the radio.
Alterations Manager - Head of the dept which made alts to put on the site
Habpics Producer - This person was in charge of a show, and put it all together (often this person would also be the writer/director, but not always)
Translator - At one point the news and site were translated into several languages
Senior Webpage Designer - Also pretty straightforward
Habpics Flash Designer - Same thing as HabboxTV Flash Artist
Habbo Friends Moderator - Reviewed submissions under Habbox's custom "Habbo Friends" systems where individuals could create profiles and fill out a given number of fields (favorite x, y, z, best friends, top 5, favorite room, favorite Hobba, etc.) The system then also aggregated responses and you could see how many people listed you as a friend, among their best friends, etc. All submissions were reviewed by hand for appropriateness and to prevent gaming of the system (entering people multiple times on a friendlist to bump count, etc.) We had a HF Moderation log and you would basically post that you had done X that day, accepted Y and rejected Z.
Interviewer - Part of Articles Department (along with Articles Writer and Room Reviewer)
Flash Animator - Part of HabPics / HabboxTV, the person who put all the individual screenshots together to make a movie
Alterations Designer - I believe similar to Pixel Artist?
HabboxTV Manager - Manager of HabboxTV :P
Habbo Friends Manager - Made sure all the Habbo Friends Moderators were actually making the effort to check, even if the queue was empty, as it was very easy for tragedy of the commons to occur where even though the job got done (all entries were moderated), certain individuals wouldnt actually be working :P
Habbo Friends Assistant Manager - See above
Head Reporter - News Role, basically a senior reporter
Assistant Site Manager (Forum) - A position that was fairly irregular, often brought back when a former senior Habbox member came back into the fold and sierk wanted to utilize their experience. Seacat was one of them I believe, and there may have been one or two others - perhaps jrh or a former FM (Baving?)

Happy to clarify more as needed :)
