Is it worth re-buying if I already have it for the last gen consoles?

I'll be getting it on PC should there be massive servers akin to MTA.

I suspect if there aren't then someone will mod them in.

Also SAMP>MTA

Apparently it is being released on 18th of November (So fairly accurate) and 27th January 2015 for PC

Fascinating! Rockstar finally revealed the release date of GTA V on next generation consoles and PC. The console version will be released on November 18, but the PC version will be released on January 27th, 2015.

The game will witness a variety of improvements especially in the graphics. People will notice major visual and technical improvements. Furthermore, new weapons, vechiles, activities had been added all along with denser traffic, additional wildlife, new foliage system, greater damage, weather effects and so on.

I don’t think many people are going to pay attention for that but Rockstar also added 100 additional new songs with DJ mixes.

That being said, Rockstar will also offer a pre-order bonus, which contains $500,000 in game cash for the story mode as well as the online mode. However, those who already own GTA V on the Xbox 360 and PS3 will also get extra classic vehicles, challenges, weapons, and activities.

I can't wait for the PC Version. I hope they make a Police Pursuit Mod because I Love the one in GTA IV :)

Hope the game would come out sooner though I just can't wait :)

Out today, did anybody pick it up? How does it compare in your opinion? Worth the (re)purchase?

I picked it up yesterday, the release time is probably different for you Dbgtz because I am Australian and luckily for us Aussies games release early in our timezone.

I got GTA V on the PS4 and the graphics look a lot sharper and you can see a lot more detail has been put into the different backgrounds in the game. For example on the older consoles if you looked closely at the grass in the game it was really just a blur, on the next-gen consoles the grass looks a lot more realistic and this helps immerse you in the simple beauty of the game.

I haven't played a stack of the game yet but from my early impressions the game has been worth re-buying, especially if you are someone that will use the new first person mode, I prefer the original third person mode myself but that is just my personal preference. Admittedly, I did sell my Xbox 360 copy of GTA V to a friend, so I didn't have a copy of the game I didn't need when I bought the next-gen version.

Sounds like it was worth the upgrade then.

Good choice. Is that alongside PC or is it just PS4?

Probably get it on PC as well for the sake of it.

Still have an Xbox 360 but next gen wise I went with a PS4 as my closest friends are on that platform.

Ah, fair enough.

Tempted by the PS4's better graphics but then no-one I know has a PS4 so would be boring :P
