There's nothing to feedback on, on this topic. You've given no real explanation as to why you think this. However, HabboxLive doesn't need a "major" face-lift as it's fine. The main site was updated not so long ago but a radio manager.

Err.. it had an update like three months ago.

imo the only things that need updating are the little images, updating them with the new management etc.

and maybe creating an icon to replace:

In regards to the icons, it works for some people but never others :'(

The site design itself only got updated this year after a long wait and think it looks fab!

HabboxLive.com needs a major facelift, it feels like it's in the dark ages :¬:
To satisy people asking for why:

It's inconsistent with the general Habbox look (Bright white and yellow) - The dark colours are not inviting
The interface of the current DJ box is just general text and a picture of the DJ, there is nothing to make it distinct
The Request line font is what you would expect of an old website
The place to pause the radio isn't in the same place as the 'Current song' bit

I think that's about it...

I think that's about it...
1. I disagree! When it was originally changed a lot of people complained about the dark colours, but a lot of people also liked it. It's completely down to personal preference.
2. It gets across the information (which is the whole point), doesn't it?
3. I don't really think people mind.
4. I agree with you on this one. Hate it when I have to go scrolling down the page because I'm looking something up on Habboxlive and don't want to tune in 'cause it takes me a little while to find the pause button :'(

It's a huge improvement over what it did look like, and ngl it's one of the best looking habbo radios, so I'm fine with it.

Inseriousity.

it'd be nice if there could be a choice, a bit like choosing a forum skin, but I know that this is highly unlikely with Habbox's problems in this sort of area.

I remember in the original thread about it people wanted there to be a light and dark version but I think that got forgotten

If you just go on HabboxLive to pause the radio then why do you go on it at all? There isn't much more to do on HabboxLive apart from the timetable, staff etc.

I do go on to look at the timetable :'( I like to know when a few specific DJs have booked so I know to tune in then :P

I meant to direct it at Yum haha, after I realised it could have been seen to be aimed at you too :P.

Although I'm guessing it's the same reason :D.

This is why I said develop permenant shows, because sadly now, personalities are much harder to come by. Perm shows will help keep things a bit different by forcing people to adapt different structures. Although regular DJ feedback is another aspect. Times have changed!

The website design does look slightly unwelcoming but I think that's just because its dark and bland, that can be changed easily enough though. I love the new navigation but everything below that has stayed the same, hasn't it? (I don't mean to be a *** I just don't notice anything different, I could be wrong) I haven't looked at the stats to know what sort of numbers are getting pulled in daily but speaking from the current 11 listeners you do have to question is it really worth maintaining a separate website for a select few viewers? Just looked at the main habbox website, you could easily just redirect habboxlive.com to a www.habbox.com/habboxlive (http://www.habbox.com/habboxlive), add a new link to the navigation 'habboxlive' then use the sub navigation that's already in place to add the same links that are on the habboxlive main website. Maybe management really would like to keep the separate website but if there isn't a large audience there doesn't seem to be much point in loading on unnecessary work.

I know how annoying it can be when you're in a department and you see a post like this in feedback, you just start thinking someone is just being spiteful and has set out to destroy your department then automatically think '**** that guy', well I did anyway :P. It makes more sense, this way only one website ever needs to be updated and it just stops the constant threads about a bad website that needs updating.

The only thing with habbox.com is it's so ugly and hard to manoeuvre around I find! I always tune into habboxlive.com because it's much more cleaner and habbox.com just looks like an all round mess it's nasty. That's why I would hate to see them merge into one :(

Kyle
10-09-2014, 03:31 PM
habbox.com is only harder to navigate atm because it doesn't currently accommodate for radio features (staff lists, timetable, etc.) due to the presence of habboxlive.com. if habboxlive was removed obviously it would be expected that all the useful links on that site were easily accessible on habbox.com

OldLoveSong
10-09-2014, 04:46 PM
swear i heard jin say a few months back that habbox and hxl would prob merge cuz hxl doesnt make any money and costs extra to keep it up cuz its a seperate site besides habbox but havnt heard any updates since :p but i personally like the habboxlive webpage the way it is- could use more pink though ;) but thats just a personal preference!

the whole "merge hxl with hx" is part of v7 so that event with remelkiid was the original deadline for v7 lmaooo

Grig

If the integration is done smartly, it should be fine. I am against HxL loosing a lot of content space, but the site itself is archaic even after re-design.

also, this may be noticeable only on my side, but the international side has shrank of late, which is something that is annoying considering the amount of time it took to build it up. Don't neglect that, because seriously before you know it, there'll be no international side to talk about. Need a push in that sphere.

I think that figure is over the 42 days, 6k is way to much for one day. Hardly surprising given the ancient layout and the fact the website has no real purpose other than hosting the back-end.
