GQ Men of the Year (http://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/men-of-the-year/home) awards last night and Tony Blair, famous mostly for leading us into a pointless war with Iraq and then leaving the country to become a multi millionaire, got the prestigious Philanthropist of the Year award. Understandably no-one has any idea why, especially as one of his most recent jobs has been as a spindoctor for Kazakhstan's Nursultan Nazarbayev, whose police force murdered a group of unarmed protesters. He has set up a couple of charities (which he's named after himself) but if that's the best we can do as a species then we're all doomed.
Some other oddities of the night include
Benedict Cumberbatch: Actor of the Year
Jonah Hill: International Man of the Year
Kim Kardashian: Woman of the Year
One assumes the judging panels are big fans of LSD

Benedict Cumberbatch as Actor of the Year isn't too bad compared to all the other ones you've pointed out. Not really sure how Jonah Hill won International Man of the Year lmao, can't think of anything he's done besides acting well in the Wolf of Wall Street.

Something tells me that crap was rigged.
I mean come on, they could have been a little more subtle with who they chose!

I have nothing nice to say about Tony Bliar. Nothing.
It's a good thing for my sanity that i'm religious and believe in divine punishment, because the way this creep continues to defy justice is mindboggling.

If that Kardashian woman is Woman of the Year then it is nothing more than a joke site with very limited scope for choice. Blair definitely isn't philanthropist of the year, unless he bought it or the world is bored of seeing Bill Gates win it each year :P
EDIT: This sums up the Kardashians for me:
