Let's see

Why are some usernames in a different font color?
- Missing quite a few different stupid colours of VIP and VIPs with images etc

Promotion System (User Ranks)
- Do they still auto get Hx God on 20k posts or do they have to apply for the group?
- No mention of HTML usertitles for the Hx God usergroup

Public & Joinable Groups
- Need to be updated with forum god

Habbox VIP
- No mention of limited edition VIPs, only christmas edition. Considering the vast amount of limited editions we seem to throw out should mention it.
- One of the things to win VIP is weekly events, is this even updated? It was last edited 3 months ago and post is by mathew.
- No mention of the weekly posting stats
- No mention of major events such as HxSS, B2S, etc

Habbox Tokens
- Do you get tokens for VIP? or only Donator group? (seems like something that's very secret, i've never heard of getting tokens for donating? :S)
- Again same with referring, I've never known you get tokens for referrals, is this something i've just missed or is it not really known?
- Doesn't say that 50 creds is rare occurrences

Swearing and the filter
- Why are you not allowed to say 'what the f**k' but you can say 'what the ****' lol that seems a bit stupid, I can understand what the fcuk or what the **, but what the f**k is a crap example as if someones saying something like that it's already obvious what they're saying, same as 'for **** sake' 'jesus ******* christ' etc.
- You need to use badspoiler now for the swearing etc now don't you, not just the default spoiler tags

I think I have been banned by mistake, what can I do?
- This mentions the 'contact form' which was available before, but it's no longer available since you changed it to support forum. So they wouldn't be able to post anyway. Only option would be to email support.

Can I still use the support system if I'm banned?
- The support system has been removed so this shouldn't be here.

Why am I banned?
- Again mentions the 'contact us via the Support system' which isn't there and they can't post in the support forum (presumably) so should mention emailing rather than support system

I log in correctly but when the page reloads I am logged back out.
- You don't need to delete all your browser cookies, you just need to delete ones relating to Habboxforum
- Needs to be reworded as it just all looks wrong anyway tbh

Prize Collection Rule
- Incorrectly states Samanfa is the AGM (community)

Forum Specific Rules
- Debates Forum Rules (here (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=617161)) rule 4 links to an inaccessible place.
- Official Debates and Members Debates links to exact same thread

How do I change the forum skin?
- Incorrectly mentions (V) = vertical instead of horizontal where that's been done via postbit for the past 10 years. There is only one version of skins now so that question and answer is pointless.

How do I post on the forum or create/reply a thread?
- There is no 9 character limit, it's like 4 characters or 3 now?
- Might be worth mentioning prefix's in here for specific areas

What are usernotes and how can I see them?
- Can you enable us to see our own usernotes? (it's not a question about if it's possible, as it is quite easily within vbulletin settings, but will you allow it) I don't see any need for usernotes to be 'hidden' from the user when we can simply request an admin to show tell us about them anyway?

Only looked at User Accounts, Moderation and Support so far.

Is [email protected] still monitored btw? if not should probably remove it from the few places it's mentioned.

Cheers Scott. I will get onto this after I get home. I think [email protected] is for when you want a password reset you will get an email from it but im not sure about it actually being used by someone.

David

they should be able to post in support if banned, vb permissions allows that kind of thing. so id say it just needs updated from that old support script to the support forum

It's mentioned multiple times to contact it for support (if you can't log in, or wondering why you're banned etc) so should probably remove that as well :P

However, as it stands surely if you're banned and don't know why there's now way to ask, as you can't pm support as it's not checked, can't post in support system as it's been removed and replaced with the support forum (which I imagine banned users can't see/post).

Also since when did we have

[sigpic] [/ sigpic] wtf's a signature picture, just an image? :S
[issuu] [/ issuu] I'm guessing it's for lauras box thing?
[mixcloud] [/ mixcloud] mixcloud? rip off of soundcloud or something?
[new] [/ new]
[old] [/ old]
~ Looks of it doesn't even work?

Yeah they might be able to, but from what I remember banned = can't see anything on the forum and have that message 100%, unless they changed it idk but it's the kinda thing that could easily be overlooked.

[new] [/ new]
[old] [/ old]

you can (or used to?) upload an image to the server and use the sigpic bbcode to show it in your sig, instead of the img tags
new and old highlights text green or red, the kind of thing that shows on post edit history and template history in acp

issuu tags are for the box, correct :)

Thanks for pointing out some small errors though! Don't think that's been checked in a while. I went through a bit when I was mod but nowhere near as much detail, so it's great to have it pointed out!

I have updated most things you have suggested in your first post. As for the few questions you asked in your post, I will clear them up now for you :P

As Habbox God is still apart of the promotions people that reach 20,000k posts will still be automatically put into the usergroup wether requested or not.

I've never actually heard about getting tokens when donating, or i've read it but i never took notice but I will leave that there and if people donate then they will be rewarded if they PM myself or Phil. You also do get tokens for referring.

I've added a whole new section dedicated to mentions here: http://www.habboxforum.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_mentions which pretty much shows you how to do it.

The reason you don't and wont see usernotes is because they are PM'd to your inbox anyway. All the usernotes that are added to your account are copy and pasted into your usernotes for a record rather than a moderator having to check their inbox and search through PM's each time. So it would be a rather pointless feature to add.

Are tokens automatic or manual?

Can't you use [@]Someone[ /@]? according to bbcode it's tehre
[@]Nick[/@] tests

Not really, it's a list of usernotes you've received over your time at Habbox, stuff like PMs get deleted, forgotten etc so it would always be useful tos ee and I see no negative effect or reason for users not being able to see it?

David

wasn't [@] the old tagging that hoteloser made, that doesn't even notify the person and only links to their profile

Which works the same as username;

It's tempting to suggest you just have redirect pages to solve the problem of position changes e.g. contact the assistant general manager for community can link to whoever it is.

Some of the FAQ seem a bit like they're over-answering questions. All of the VIP related ones can be put into one. If someone has a different coloured name it's because they're a VIP or donator plus a small desc. of why this is and how to go about it. Having more than one seems a bit overboard. It also depends if these are actually frequently asked questions, questions people actually ask. If not, then it's probably not needed. It depends how often that page is read though, something an admin could find out through one of the system features (if possible).

Depends how you word it. FAQs tend to be in the form of questions, so just having "Donator" and "Habbox VIP" tend to suggest they were just chucked in there. These all come in different colours so they could just go in "Why are some usernames in a different font colour?" or reword the question to say "What are donator and Habbox VIP, and why are usernames in a different colour" or split it into two and have "What are donator..." and "why are usernames...". It's usually how FAQs go, they're meant to be in a question format rather than one word with no question mark :P

That said, the entire FAQ doesn't seem like an FAQ. It's having an identity crisis.

scottish
06-09-2014, 03:26 PM
Yeah it's not really FAQ's it's more of a topic and explanation thing tbh :P

Use THIS IMGLINKtag to put images with a link in your forum. This allows: urltotheimage (link) ...to work again without The Image Resizer to broke the link.

doesn't make sense lol 'without the image resizer to broke the link'

the URL for [imgl ] tag doesn't work either so bad example. there is no example on imgr

Does anyone even use imglink?

Posting a table example doesn't work.
