Wasn't there weekly happy hours at one point? Have them each weekend at a scheduled time so people know they're happening (and one for people living outside the Uk too!!)

I don't think there was weekly happy hours, i think Chris did it a few times but not weekly. I like the idea of having scheduled ones though, so people actually know!

Because you posted them in CNB - when has the forum dept become Community?

Habbox Announcements are more staff related and big changes so where else do you think i could have posted them.

I'm in with the idea of schedules times for happy hours - perhaps people would know about them and if you do it in a semi-busy time period activity could increase dramatically for that period. :)

If it were to be on a weekend and I am out and Phil is either at work/out/college whatever I am not sure how well that would go towards a schedule but I could do it on weekdays but most people have school and work.

Perhaps a weekday but when people are back from work/school.
But also fitting one in for those who aren't in the GMT timezone as well - whenever is most applicable really but popular timing.

Id probably be offline when people get home but I would be able to handle the non gmt though :)

Perhaps discussion with Phil, or an AGM to cover periods where neither of you are available? :)

Scheduled kind of defeats the purpose of it though doesn't it? :P

personally I'd never post extra for double tokens, I'll just post at my usual rate and when I find interesting threads but if you give a couple of hours notice rather than Happy Hour - NOW, people may notice it.

Yeah that was the problem, the thread was notifying it was on now and no one was noticing.

Make it 4x tokens to make it worthwhile in doing lol

I doubt even that would make much of a difference, it gives more motive - yes.
But the only people that tend to post on the forums are those who regularly post regardless of happy hour.

But I'm sure we'd all appreciate x4 tokens, Nick ;)

Well what else is it going to do, it's not going to encourage people with 10 posts in 6 years to suddenly start posting.

I thought the purpose was to encourage anyone who posts to post a bit more?

But that doesn't work anyway - if there's nothing to post on then posting doesn't increase. :P

Hence why you earn 20 tokens instead of 10 tokens when you create a thread ;)

Yeah but that doesn't make a difference ;)

Perhaps if it was advertised further than just the forum where only the people using the forum would see it, we might get more activity. :P

Yeah I know it doesn't make a difference lmao :(

I generally advertise it on the Habbox twitter

Perhaps a couple of hours beforehand it could be advertised client-side and with a thread that it is approaching.
Emphasise the things that come with earning tokens - such as VIP, name changes, etc. as there are still a few people around that have no idea what tokens are for or can be used for. :)

I'll think of a few things and message a couple of ideas over to you if I can think of something to suggest. ;D

Hey guys sorry I'm posted away atm so excuse the late reply.

I am against having scheduled Happy Hours. The suggestion came up before and we decided against it because those Token addicts will just wait until the Happy Hours to post and then there'll end up being a peakof activity for an hour a week or whatever instead of somewhat consistently.

I wouldn't be opposed to posting them two hours or so in advance though.
